So, the Z24 has finally made it to NC...car is still super clean underneath with no rust to be seen. I was surprised how well it still runs on the 9 year old fuel. Gotta do some preliminary checks as well as some cleaning before I can do too much with it...then again, it's getting taken apart soon too...

Also, along with the car came a plethora of hard to find things like bumpers, nose piece, and ground effects.

And, doubt anyone will care...but I have the original wheels for it as well...here's a pic of two of them.

It'll be a fun thing to work on...and if the 2.8 dies, it'll get something with more power.

It wouldn't have an auto either if that happens.

Almost...for now it's just get her back to good. It needs a lot of maintenance stuff from sitting forever. Then, I'll probably try to find a 282 to stuff behind the current engine...then if the engine grenades, 3800 swap...then turbo later on.

Due to the trans and a few old school Holley Performance engine goodies, this one scoots pretty well. The body style is highly reminiscent of the E30...too bad it's not RWD like those though.

True mileage is unknown, but it is VERY low (less than 40k)...and it's a 1986...first year for the Z24. But, truthfully, it's on it's 3rd or so engine and 3rd or 4th transmission.

This has the digital dash that has been swapped due to typical cluster failures.

    Ah.

Mine was basic as basic got.

No passenger mirror, power nothing, AM radio. It did have AC though.

    http://www.automobile-catalog.com/ma...oupe/1985.html

I would agree with everything except the quarter mile figures...I had a header, straight pipe, open element circle filter around the TBI port (mind you I'm sure it still didn't make 92 horsepower that it advertised)...and it went 18.9 @ 70.00001, lolllll. I think.

This is not that basic. LOL The Z24 had the digital dash, the 2.8L "HO" V6 and power things. This is an auto car...for now.
