So I now have a GXP in place of my burned up GTP. Here's what I've been up to so far.

Just a few pix of it right after I picked it up.

The tips were black with carbon buildup. I polished them.

Test fitting the roof rails. They need repainting after the fire.

GXP trailing arm & UMI trailing arm.

    Trailing arms on.

Sway bars, springs & roof rails all go on next week.

Canuck springs are on the way. As is the LS4 badge. Future plans are tinting the windows, Drunkie style headlights, tinted taillights and fog lights and may e larger tailpipes and an intake.

Nice upgrade. How does the GXP compare to the previous GRand Prix that you had in terms of driving? The BMR trailing arms are nice and beefy. My brother got those for his 03 and they make my GMPP trailing arms look weak. It's hard to tell from your pic but are the GXP trailing arms tubular? Some guys have always said that they were the same as the GMPP trailing arms.

The GXP rides nice for being as big as it is. But, I can tell it needs bigger sway bars with the way it rocks changing lanes. And The GXP trailing arms are solid, and square in shape. Not sure if the GMPP rear sway bar I have is any bigger than the GXPs.

It should handle much better when you get the lowering springs. Keep us updated.

New fact for ya'all. Today I discovered the GXP sway bar is the GMPP sway bar. Numbers match. Or maybe this is only news to me lol

    How would roof rails leak?

And what do you mean, "what are they for?"?
