    Okay so I pulled the trigger on these today:
    Buy.com - Spyder Auto Pontiac Grand Prix 97-03 1PC CCFL Smoke Projector Headlights
    The newer version of the spyder headlights with the CCFL halos. I intend to read up and do some fab work to make the mounts stronger and get some weather stripping for the top/bottom of em to make sure they fit right and work properly this time.

    Okay So I installed the new projectors last friday. Got some comparison shots. They look sooooooo much better. I could not find a good way to put weatherstripping foam under them though. 3m Double sided tape wouldnt stick to the rubber for crap and other ideas didnt really work either. I really do hate the way these things mount in. They look sweet but trying to get them set right is so annoying. Spent like 10 minutes wiring this and 4 hours trying to figure out a better way to mount them lol. Oh well.

    Was fun working in my new garage. Light output is definitelly better. Oh and I really dont reccomend touching a 9000K HID bulb after its been on for 5 seconds.. Lol.

    Yeah I was gonna do a night output shot but the house was in the way of the full beam lengths. Its got stabil in it with the battery disconnected currently, so itll have to wait till spring. Which should also bring a new GT torque converter and coilovers with AGXs.

    So I think I've decided on what I am going to do next year for mods come spring time (sleeping in the garage currently).
    I'm thinkin:
    -ZZP Drop in Strut Package with AGXs
    I was going to go with coilovers but I'm not sure its really worth it and it would be easier to do other things with the money saved. Is it price effective to buy their Package deal? Seems like it would cut down on install time if its the same price.
    -E85
    I wasn't going to do E85 but I think im finally sold on it. I could probably sell my 42.5# Injectors (anyone interested?) and pick up 60#s and the needed tune for pretty damn cheap. Then its just a matter of grabbing a 2.8 pulley and some timing for good times. I like the idea that it keeps the engine cleaner and the horsepower gains. There are a pretty good amount of E85 stations around here so I don't think it'd be too annoying, especially since this is just a summer fun car anyway. Do you have to drain your tank before doing this though? Or just get it ultra low?
    -Stock GT Torque Converter
    Currently I get pretty bad gas milage and my dyno numbers are very skewed by the fact that I have an old sloppy 3000 stall converter. Apparently stock GT converters are the way to go so Im going to get this to clean up my issues and find out what numbers I really put down on the dyno. Which goes great with E85 as ill be dyno tuning at ZZP for that anyway.
    -Fixing/Repainting Fender/Bumper
    Fender has a small dent and some scratches from some drug addict on a bicycle crashing into my car at full speed. Bumper has some scratches from who knows what. Imma get this fixed so its closer to perfect again.

    I plan on doing that stuff right as spring hits and then maybe later in the year get heads done. If I get heads its either going to be fully done properly by some local shop or from a deal I find here or elsewhere. It'd probably be the last engine/hp mod I do. I dont think im going to ever mess with getting a different intercooler or going turbo.

    Also for appearance stuff I MAY get to this year or may not, either way final plans:
    -PFYC Carbon Fiber SD Spoiler
    -Maaaybe 3m scotchprint carbon fiber wrap the trunk to go with the spoiler/hood.
    -Paint black/clear coat interior trim stuffs.
    -Blue LED the interior entirely.


    The most important thing I want to do this year is actually get stuff together in time to make it to the track with some slicks and see how much crap I can brea- I mean how quick of times I can actually put down in this thing.

    Thanks. I was going to go with Black/Carbon Fiber as the accent colour to the dark blue. As such I was going to have the rims painted black to match this theme but then everyone was like nooooo leave it! So I left it. Definitelly considering doing plasti-dip on them though just to see how it would look. Maybe if it looked good in black id try doing the lip in dark metallic blue and the rest in glossy black.

    So I spent like 2-2.5 hours today totally detailing the interior of my car. I vacuumed it EVERYWHERE, every little nook and cranny. Then I wiped it down with leather wipes and armor all... EVERYWHERE (went through 2 bottles). Then I shampooed all the carpets. Then vacuumed again. I even did the trunk and the headliner. A few weeks back I also blue LED'd everything. all interior lights including the glove box and the trunk and the license plate. Pics of the current state of the inside and such . Please note it looks way better in person (usually the opposite with car pics). There is like not a single blemish on the carpets. It was just slightly damp still so it looked a bit off in some of the pics. And the exterior is pretty dusty right now but I'm going to iceman aka josh's thing tomorrow and its supposed to be pissing down all day so I skipped the outside.









    ^Think the cops will have a problem with it being blue? Meh.







    ^The stupid cover that goes over those broke on both sides when I was putting those LEDs in. Really annoying. Plan on snagging some replacements soon.

    So clean inside I feel like I don't want to get in it lol.

    Next on the list is AGX Struts + SSC Springs + New Torque Converter + New ZZP Fuel Pump

    That's all getting done ASAP. I have the funds just waiting for Andrew's schedule. He's really backed up atm. Currently its getting KR Towards 3rd gear shift which is probably because of my fuel pump so I cant beat on it too much. Not that I ever really do.

    So I havent updated this in ages. Later today when I have time ill post some pictures of things that have been done since the last update. It seems like right now its one of those times where everything is breaking and everything is being more of a dick to replace than it should be. Since last update:
    -Replaced torque converter with new stock GT converter (MUCH Better)
    -Changed tranny filter/fluid (looks PERFECT in there, which isn't suprising because its a badass tranny).
    -Replaced Steering Rack..... Twice..
    -Added KYB AGX Struts with SSC springs all around (also a full alignment after)
    -Spent an entire weekend Por15ing my rockers. Also did the trunk.
    -Replaced clamps that hold the front sway bar onto the subframe...

    -fixed those interior light covers by buying some off the forums here.
    -The worst one...
    Replaced the stock fuel pump with the ZZP one... Then had a horrible issue that got worse and worse and no one could figure out because it was somewhat intermittant. Issue would get so bad it wouldn't rev past 2500rpm in park... pretty bad.. Turned out to be fuel pressure issue.. To resolve it, this took the power of the expertise of Andrew (3 days), ZZP (2 days), and Shawn Mayes (1 day). It also took replacing:
    -2 ZZP fuel pumps
    -Fuel filter
    -Rechecked fuel pump rewire for proper voltages
    -regulator
    -checking all the lines for kinks or anything
    -checking all grounds
    -fuse relays (bending tab etc)
    -Taking canister out and rebuilding it 10,000 times, and in different ways.

    The resolver? Ended up replacing the ZZP pump with their new AEM E85 pump. Which as far as I can tell so far is working great. The issue would only get worse the longer you drove it so we think it was the pump overheating. So **** the ZZP pump. I do have to give props to ZZP though. Helps to be good friends with them all but they basically spent a whole day troubleshooting it and letting me try out different parts for free. In the end I didnt pay them a dime over the initial price of the first ZZP pump. Heck I even got the fuel filter free lol.

    This AEM pump is supposed to love E85... Which combined with some other things means theres a lot more performance stuff planned for this year still.

    I picked up some heads off here that are GREAT. No cracks and they're already partially ported. I'm going to have the place I work for clean them up this Friday and then a friend of mine is going to handle porting them the rest of the way. Basically going to do a full job on them, except for allowing more lift as I am sticking with the XP cam. I got these for $50 and the cleaning + porting is going to cost me $70. So fully ported heads for $120? Not bad lol. Not to mention they came with stock valves, rockers, valve covers, springs etc.

    I am also purchasing 80lb injectors for about $200. Once the heads are done being ported. These injectors and the heads will be going on as well as a tank of E85 and a trip to ZZP's dyno to tune it for the corn and injectors. Likely a 2.7 supercharger pulley will be making his entrance at this time as well.

    So to summerise:
    -Fully ported heads $120
    -80lb Injectors $200
    -
    Misc required gaskets and things for install $150?
    -
    Andrew install $200
    -
    ZZP Dyno Tune for E85 $150
    Total: $820

    820 doll hairs to go from a 3.25 (3.1 on a good day) GenV setup to basically fully built 2.7 E85 setup... Definitelly excited and unexpected.

    I'll probably be buying some titanium retainers too. I meant to get those the first time around and forgot about it. Should be able to make some great dyno numbers and track times after all this. I just really hope Its all done before winter and I get it to the track. I hope more than anything I dont have frickin chipped pistons too when those heads come off. I'm very nervous about that because you never know :\

    Now here's the bad crap that still needs fixing:
    -Front bumper and rear bumper repainted. Too many scratches and nicks for my liking. I think I might actually considering having them fill in the trim line things on it when I do it. I did use some touchup paint on these for the time being which turned out semi-okay.
    -Passenger side fender repainted. Still has scrape along the very bottom and a very small dent from where the drug addict retard riding a bicycle slammed into me while I was sitting at a light... Its not overly noticible with touch up paint but it will get fixed.
    -Radiator leaking? I noticed its got a little bit of coolant collecting on one of those things at the bottom. Its not low on coolant yet though. I'd probably replace it with a ZZP oversized aluminum one and maybe replace the housing at the same time because it looks like hell.
    -Gauge Cluster Repair. Light burned out on the left side and my tach is doing some funny ****. It goes ape**** sometimes. I'll put it in park and shut it off and it will go to past the redline and stay there. Sure is a quiet car revving at 10k rpms XD. Mostly fine will driving just when first starting or shutting off.
    -Brake line leaking. I've got a rear brake line that has a very minor leak. Probably not gonna fix it till it gets a bit worse but its there...
    -Steering controls. I've put off fixing them so they actually work with my aftermarket stereo since I bought the car. I'mma try and get on that.
    -Door trim. The little trim that goes along the very top of the door by the window is broken on the drivers side. Haven't been able to find anyone parting out a coupe who has one that isn't broken yet to replace it. Definitelly on the list.
    -Window Switches driver side. This things probably gonna die at some point soon. Sometimes the passenger window wont go respond to the controls from the drivers side. Then if you move it down from the passenger controls it will work again on the drivers side. So dumb lol.
    -New floor mats. Yep
    -Tint. Gonna tint my tails VERY slightly just to get rid of the atezza look. Also probably going to tint the side windows again with 35%. Hopefully I dont get pulled over for it right away.
    -More port15. probably going to do my oil pan and strut towers when I have time and care.
    -Carbon Fiber SD Spoiler. More than likely wont get to this in this year due to other things taking priority now, but we'll see.

    So, thats my massive update after not updating for ages, as well as the plans for the rest of the year. Later today I will post pictures of the torque converter/rack install as well as some misc pics that I've taken along the journey so far.

    So as posted in other threads I think I need to replace all my wiring harnesses.. awesome. And yesterday... this happend:

    No, I didnt piss anyone off. The car is just cursed. Driving down the road at 50MPH and suddenly my entire winshield just instantly shatters... Well I drove past a baseball field at the exact time some guy managed to hit one out of the park and over the netting and directly into the center of the winshield of my car as I drove by.

    Luckily the guy ended up being SUPER nice about it and actually paid the $50 I had to pay out of pocket for my deductible. Kinda makes me have a little more faith in the human race.

    And on the curse front... the replacement windshield... cracked once he put it on. Apparently there was a manufacturing defect on it. Second one worked though...

    Now to find a wiring harness and someone I can persuade into helping with it...
