Hello to all! I have been a member here for quite sometime now but I have never created a member thread of my own. I started off with an 05 GP Comp G and decided that the payments weren't worth it anymore so I sold it and bought a 97 GP GTP bright red ... here are some pics of the old car then pics of the new car with details of what I have done to it since I purchased it 2 months ago...

    2005 GP Comp G

Sold the car to carmax for 7k and bought me the following:

1997 Grand Prix GTP with 140k original miles , I believe im the 4th owner and car was completely stock other than a cheap-o intake purchased from ebay.
Car was found off craigslist in Las Cruces NM ( I live Chandler AZ) contacted the guy that I was interested and he reduced the price from $2500 to $1600 so I had to jump on it . My dad lives in El Paso TX, so he picked it up for me and I then flew to EL Paso and brought the GP home all in one day.

I knew that I would need to do a LIM job and other things before I could drive it daily. My dad's truck came handy in order to be working on the GP.

I want to make sure all the mechanical stuff is taken care off before I do any visual upgrades

Here is a list of things I have done..

    -LIM gasket removal
    -New LS lifter
    -180* stat
    -SD Headers
    -New solid motor mount
-Ported 98 blower case (by Reptile)
    -Overkill PCM
    -3.4 smoothflow pulley
    -All New struts
-New Ecopia tires (love this tires)
    -New tie rod ends
    -New control arms
-Rerouted vacuum lines to fit 98 case
    -New silicone vacuum lines
-Installed used driver mirror(old was broken)
-Flushed out the dexcool and put in some green stuff
    -Poly Mounts (Greg Badass)
    -Upper round mounts by Intense
    -TransGo shift Kit
-Fixed AC compressor and AC(AC was not working)
    -Cherry Bomb resonator
    -Magnaflow Cat
    -AEM dryflo Intake 9"
    -AL 605's
    -Taylor 8.8 mm wires

    98 Ported case

    Old motor mount(destroyed)

    Broken Elbow

    Bad lim gaskets

Installed my old chrome tips from my 05

The car is currently at the body shop getting worked on the bumper

    More to come thanks...

I was surprised in how good condition it was, I took a gamble and basically bought it over the phone.

Or you could put 04+ seats in your car
Probably close to same price as upholstery work.

I could do that but I want to leave the interior stock, I actually looked into that option

I myself actually like the 97-03 leather interior. The 04+ is nicer but there is something about this era of gps that is great.

A few updates on the car, I decided to stop modding for a while since I was fixing my house, well there is some handling issues with the car at the moment so I will be installing the following in the next 2 weeks once I get all the parts

-F Body brake setup (got it for $80 at the junkyard from a 98 trans am)
    -Hawk HPS Brakes all around
-GMPP handling kit (my car rolls like a biatch )
-DNA lowering springs ( $85 to lower your car is a steal)
    Visuals
-Vent visors( dont need the bashing I like how they look)
    - %5 tint all around
-New interior carpet since the current one is crap
Will post pics before and after install

That is for now , Im still in search for some tan leather seats , and a gen 1 spoiler

I really like dark tint on red cars, you know I was hoping my tint shop had left the third brake light uncovered, but they didn't, I'm used to it now.
