where are you from? Most my family is around the ann arbor area (milan/chealsea etc...). I grew up between houghton lake (northern lower) and manistique, and the soo (UP)... Im a partial yooper...

    cant wait to go back.

Also, I found out what the ubend delete is. may do that.

HOWEVER, I may do headers. adding the ss chrome header deals will my car get allot lowder if I leave the stock mufflers and everything else? I DONT want my car to be loud as we drive to michigan twice a year, and that would just be annoying.

Im from near Grand Rapids. Used to have a lake house at Houghton Lake. I have a lot of family in the UP. And no, your car will not be a lot louder as long as you keep your stock muffs and resonator.

if you wet up 27. the first exit for houghton lake is Snowbowl road. about 8 miles before you get to m55... that was my road. if you went west on snowbowl road 2 miles you would be at my old house on barney lake... (yes i grew up in the middle of the woods). and loved it.

headers are a good possibility if I can count on it to not get louder. may have to wait a few weeks, as I just spent 350 bucks on new axles and hub assembly's. (yup both sides).

just got them put in. the passenger side seemed like it was a little short, but we will see. about to drive it, but my son lost a bolt that holds on my center cap for my rims. we are looking for that now (well he is, as I told him he needs to find it since he had it last)...

well the new axles and hub assemblys fixed all sorts of problems. the little noise that got louder and started wobbling as the car accelerated and the ABS light is now gone, and the steering wheel looks to be even now!

drives like a new car again! SWEET!

well now I had a vibration from 70 and up. it feels good when it pulls but once you get on the highway you feel a vibration. maybe the tires being warn a little funny due to bad bearings? and they just need to be driven?

not sure. will drive it for a week and see if it goes away with a little proper tire wear... (also gonna make sure all pressures are the same, and up to the 40 PSI I want them at.)

trying to have it ready for the 3000 mile trip to michigan and back at christmas time. I need to replace the ac compressor, and the belts, but other than that I think its about ready.

If I have money to spare maybe headers... then when I get back from christmas its gonna be a tune and smaller pulley time!

If you had bad bearings and replaced the hubs the tires are probably worn a little funny. If you have the extra $$$ you may consider checking the alignment just to make sure, otherwise you can either just drive them and hopefully it will go away with time on the highway, or make a burnout video and see if you can smooth them out that way

As far as headers go. It will be a little louder, especially if you get a high flow cat or remove the cat altogether. Texas does have emissions testing unlike Oklahoma so you will probably need a high flow cat so you can pass. But the added flow will be so worth it. Without headers you can't really do much on modding, and for around $300-400 for everything you need its a good deal.
SSAC / Speed Daddy headers are like $225 at most shipped.
    You'd need a highflow converter.
    Copper sealant.
A better flex pipe if you want to be safe, some have good luck with them, some have had problems on the flex.
    New clamps.
    Install.

Be careful with this. I have a high flow cat and the PCM doesn't like it. Had to have the codes tuned out and the CATALYST test will not complete. In Texas, we can only have one test show "not ready" (for cars newer than 2000). If you ever delete your EGR (which is nice as you dont have to clean your throttle body), you will be at 2 not ready's like I was. I have to reinstall the EGR every year prior to inspection.

San Antonio does not have emissions testing. It may in the future if it wants to be like the rest of the counties in the bug city's. but right now I'm safe
