My roomate finally got me to make one of these things... so here we go. I bought my car last June and originally had paid $750 cash for it. When i got it, it was in pretty bad shape, the paint was chipping and whoever owned the car before me decided to try and paint over the red and make it black... and failed at it. Its a 99 GT and had about 216000 miles on it when i got it, and still ran like a champ.
Heres when i first had gotten it, doesnt look bad in this picture... but it was bad.

Heres mine next to my little brothers GP

One day me and my good friend Austin (Austins01GP) got bored and decided to sand my car down and get it repainted... Heres how it looked underneath all that black paint...

After we had finished sanding it down (in the freezing cold) my dads good friend has a paint booth and said he would paint it for us, we just needed to provide the paint. I ended up getting real expensive paint, like $320 a gallon, and it was called Crystal Effect Black and I loved the way the paint turned out...

After I got it painted I invested some money into the looks/ performance parts of the car... I got some 18" rims for it and put exhaust on it, as well as getting it tuned by Brian at GBP.

Rims look pretty good when going with the black on black and a chrome lip. (In my opinion)

    Bought a set of Projectors/Halos with HID's

Thats how it sits today, Minus the rims for the winter... But my roomate ran across an ad on craigslist that i couldnt pass up, come to find out it was Jay (Abrasive) on the forums and he was selling all of his extra motors and other parts he had, thank you much Jay! I am starting a build on my car when it gets warm and am lookin to get into the 12 second range...

Well thats all i have for now, i will keep putting more on here as i progress on my build... Thanks for looking!

Looks great, just ditch the red grills. That's the only bad for me. Other than that looks great

Thanks guys! And yes the car was originally red. And yes the door jams and everything were painted when the car got re painted. Not bad for a $750 investment.

Thanks man! I do too. I thought about painting the front one a different color but dont think it would look too good so i think im just gonna leave it the same color as the car. And as for the grills do you guys have any suggestion on what color to paint them?

    Gorgeous car. Love the black.
As for the grills, remember, nothing looks as good on black as chrome or metallic silver (why your headlights look so trick on there). So I suggest trying to match the headlights (Might be cool?) and getting a set of lower grills.

I would say buy the polished 4-piece grilles, looks awesome on a black car. heres just a pic of my black car with chrome grilles just so you get the idea what it looks like.

Haha. I like that look too. I think I am going to go with a look like that I always did like the chrome or metallic grills (which is why I used to have them) but thanks for the comments! I definately will look into getting the 4 piece aluminum ones
