Alright guys, heres my GTP so far. She's a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I bought it in December '11 and have been loving it ever since! I started out doing mostly cosmetic mods, and am now moving onto engine mods. All paint has been done by yours truly. Engine is mostly stock. Installed a CAI about two weeks ago. Next step Id like to upgrade to a 3.4in pulley on the supercharger, downpipes and headers once I can get the budget, any much much more! Comments and advice welcome. thanks!

    Just after I got her

Front grille and front fascia painted red. "Supercharged" emblem added on front quarter panels

Rear fascia painted red. Blacked out taillights. Red "GP" emblems.

    "GTP" Windshield vinyl

    Painted engine cover

New Tailpipes. Also new exhaust system - Magnaflow cat, newer (less rust) stock resonator, y-pipe, and mufflers

    Spectre Cold Air Intake

Freshly painted fuse box cover with GTP logo

i am not a fan of all the red on the outside. i say go back to stock fascia coloring.

And headers comes with a downpipe, so if you buy headers, you get a downpipe with it. Most people buy SD headers off ebay or SSAC headers.

Yeah he is right...i would keep the exterior stock looking. adding those colors never looks all that good. Just spend your money on making the car look perfect. I have never been a big fan of engine mods but thats just my opinion.

well yeah its expensive to make any car fast. but the smaller stuff is still fun like the intake, headers, porting things, shift kits are great. once you want serious hp gains then yeah its gunna burn a huge hole in your pocket haha

Car would look a lot better with the mesh part of the grills black. Headers would be a great mod that you would want to do before you drop pulleys.

maybe if it was all red around the bottom but I would have to keep my old stuff just incase I wanted to change it back.

The engine cover looks awesome. All the red on the exterior looks a little much to me but hey, its your hotrod. A darker Bradywine red lays down nice on black. Just the right amount of subtle contrast...keeps the exterior dark. Just a thought.

Thanks! And actually they arent decals. I had to cut out a paper stencil and paint it. Took a lot of tedious work, but it paid off

I really like the look of the cover, but I hate covers. IMO you should get rid of it, and paint the blower red and the side supports red too.

Similar to this but with a red blower, and then a red strut tower bar and looks would be set.

    ^ Mine.

Also make sure you read this if you haven't already: http://www.grandprixforums.net/safel...car-17482.html
As it states in the thread, get headers first then you can pulley down and tune to really unleash some power, just don't pulley down then get headers and tune or you risk blowing it up.

IMO you should just do what you want with your car. Mod it to your liking and do your thing. Keep the updates coming.
