It wasn't in an accident. That's either the sunroof drain that broke and flooded the interior or the door seals that shrunk and flooded the interior. Fortunately I never had that issue, but it's easy to fix. You goop your door seals up in place and add a little piece from a JY car into the bottom middle to keep it all good. Or you get some new tubing and replace the sunroof drains that are broken.

Something most don't realize about the Bonneville, Regal etc...

There's room in front of the radiator for an IC. And the fog lights on the Bonne are perfect air ducts to it. Besides..you look like an F body hauling down the road with the bumper fogs.

Cubic yards of room under the hood and behind the bumper. Full sized IC etc and I never touched the hood.

    Perfect res/overflow for the IC

Mint fuse/relay center to put your IC pump and EWP fuses and relays into

    They never saw me coming.....

By the time they saw me...they were in the rear view.

Full IC and FMHE installed, stop gawking, I told you there was room.

    Told you so

Must keep interior looking fairly stock

Oh wait..another res for the IC system, hell yeah! It was behind the bumper support in the above pics.

Mods fit so well on these cars with the S2 in them. Motor mounts keep the motor where it belongs way better than W bodies with poly. Then add drag bags into the back ($80) and you'll never have the weight transfer on take off ever again.

Bonneville.. way the hell better than any GTP.

In design and comfort, but looks... No. GTP is much sexier.

I have a 94 SSEi as well, I upgraded and will not go back. She's sitting at the GFs parents behind the garage for safe keeping because I don't have the heart to scrap or part her, she was my Dad's baby, but he doesn't want her back either lol.

Definitely look into a S2/S3 upgrade, the manifolds are wrong for your normal headers and the M62 is not very efficient so 90% of your mods are gone without doing ALOT of custom work. That and the tranny's are VERY WEAK.

    Good luck.

PS: Down the highway cruising, with friends in the car, the comfort far surpasses the GTP, but power, don't bother unless you swap the drivetrain.

4T60E is just a vacuum modulated 4T65E right? See where I'm going with this?

Technically but I think they used "weaker" parts in the 4T60s, could be wrong. I was thinking they beefed up the tranny internals in the 4T65s.

Aside from that, the motor is MILES from easily modifiable, the S1 makes about the same hp/tq as a NA S2 engine due to a crappy design. This is why I upgraded to the GTP with the S2 L67 and never really drive the bonnie anymore.

Like I stated earlier, as for cruising down the highway and being comfy, you don't compare to it unless you in a Regal. The GTP caters more toward the younger crowds performance look, which is what I wanted lol. Find a 99-00 with a smashed back end and drop the whole cradle, harness and pcm and raise it up in the 94 and have Bill break down a harness upgrade/splice write-up and you will be good to go.

You're right according to these guys: 4T65e FAQ - Thrasher Engineered Performance
I thought they were basically the same exact transmission.

By the way, the 4T60e (RPO code M13) is a much lighter duty transmission than any 4T65e. These were found behind the Series 1 3800 SC engine (the 225 HP version) found from '92-'96, and behind the 3100 and 3400 engines, and apparently behind the L36, normally aspirated 3800 in '97 (that's the '97 GT).

When you pull down a 60 vs a 65 and look things over. They are etxremely similar.

    The major upgrades were:
Pump that didn't cavitate over X rpms. 4T65 pump is much better.
Dual chains vs single. This was to quiet down some noise from the chain.
HD got a beefier diff. Right.. the 4T65 diff is considered bigger and meaner than the 4T60's diff.

Surely they made a bunch of other revisions, but it's basically the same casing, same parts etc etc. A couple clutch baskets were slightly modified just like when the 4T65 got some changes in 03. Many of the parts though are nearly the same and the 60 isn't quite as weak as we like to think it is.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Shhhh I wasn't telling them that. Far as I know..it's either the 15/16 or the 7/8 depending on which year the chain was from. 7/8 is the more preferred since it's stretch instead of snap.

BTW guys.. the seats in the Regal are no where near comparable to the Bonne

Havent posted about the SSEi in a while but the grandparents dont want to get rid of it quite yet, me and dad last week put new valve cover gaskets on and fixed the brake lines, now the bad and sad news about bonne while we were doing the brakes found some major bad rust on the sub frame, the sub frame in the back lets just say is gone, I still want bonne so maybe this summer I can get/buy her and hopefuly bring her back to life!

Well Killed the SSEI yesterday, I was driving her while I was working on my car, I pulled into Walmart, and heard a loud pop so I pulled over, looked and dident see anything so I pulled out of the parking spot and then I hear another pop and loose steering, I floor it forward to get it into a parking space and I see this... The sub frame mounts rusted off on both sides ): RIP Bonne
