Your leak might be from the onstar antenna... If you get a drip from your map lights its a leak there for sure... common on our cars..

BTW welcome to the world of the Comp G.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Hopefully your HUD does not go on yours. My Comp G has similar mileage (73k) when I purchased it and only after three weeks, the HUD went in the full up position. Turns out the spring went through the plastic lever and now is nearly gone unless you look down at a weird angle. It seems to be common with these cars (04+) more so than last generation. Just wanted to give you a heads up. I miss my HUD and plan on getting it replaced since mine broke beyond traditional repair like the whole lever broke with the spring so I will need a whole new unit. It is more of a convenience thing but if mine does or not get fixed I can deal with it. But most likely it will be replaced hopefully.
didn't your car come with a warranty lol
and i dont think tips really change the sound

awesome car dude, double din radios are better tho =D
Yeah I've been lookin at them and they're nice... I got this radio when I only had a part time job and not a lot of money, couldnt afford a double din... but even though I can now, I just really like this one and not enough desire to change it, lol.

No pics of more than half the car ?

    Needs some tint too!

    Looks clean, enjoy it!!
lol, I took these pics on my phone while I was at work, it was kinda like "Hey I'll brb in, goin outside for a sec... *snap a couple pictures*"
I'll get much better pics on a nice day after I detail it

    txslow6
Clean car, future plans? I'm jelly of the interior. The 97-03 style is terrible.
Well, for now I'll have plog and 3" dp on it since I already have them laying around... I'll probably go full headers eventually if I feel like it.

Gunna get rockers in the future probably, I have no desire to undertake a cam job lol... definitely gunna get an Overkill tune and Aeroforce and wideband o2, gunna pick up hptuners for sure and learn how to tune eventually. As far as go fast parts I think that's where I'll probably leave off, maybe I could drop to a 3.6 pulley or some minor thing like that once I can tune.

For sure gunna get an Inferno Hood, I want the air dam too... Im not a fan of the spoiler though... big spoiler for me = no

I like the small suttle additions, like the Comp G badge on the dash...clean choice of wheels and tips as well, car looks like it was very well taken care of.

Now she just needs some tint
Yeah there's some really light tint on there now, but I could definitely stand for something a little darker. I absolutely love the quad tips and I cant wait to polish them up, they're very dirty in the picture I took. I didnt even notice the dash emblem in the dealership pictures until I actually got in the car, and I liked it immediately lol.

And yeah, it seems like it was really well cared for, the salesman told me it was a car collector's daily driver and he traded it for a corvette.. so if that is indeed the truth... Im happy about that.

Yeah after I discovered it I did some reading and a lot of people were talking about the xm antenna, which I guess is the same one as the onstar one? The one by the back windshield? Only the back map lights seem to be leaking, the front ones are dry.

Yeah I love the tips, and the mufflers sound awesome.. I love grumblin around town now, lol... my old car only made any kind of noise when I was putting my foot down a little.

As for the HUD... it already did, it was actually the very first thing I found wrong with the car when we test drove it. I sat in the seat, noticed the HUD wasnt displayed in the windshield, fiddled with the controls, and I turned to the guy and said Strike 1, lol. He was like huh? I said the HUD is broken... then I had to explain to the salesman what that was, he seriously thought I was jerkin him around until I made him get out and look down into the dash from above and see the projector in there. It was kind of funny, I actually educated him a lot on Grand Prixs cause after that HE was asking ME questions and I was tellin him about the motors and options and functions lol. It made me realize just how much I've actually learned here, cause once I started goin on about these cars, I couldnt shut up, lol.

But yeah, Im hoping it's just the spring with mine, as I've read about in a few How-To's on fixing it yourself. Im just afraid to tear the dash apart.

Depending on if you want to change the valve springs or not, you can run up to 1.84:1 Roller's with the stock springs; even though I still recommened at LEAST G8 (L76) Springs/Retainers...keeping the stock pulley would probably be ideal with the PLOG/DP setup...and just buy a Wideband and have it custom tuned (maybe run up the shifts to 6K, but that would be ideal)...run a little leaner, and toss some extra timing at it. You could also pull the "it's still stock" card as well

Probably make a solid 230~ FWHP, good for low 14's on a good day if not quicker with some sub 2.0 60's...I loved my 3.29 gearing...yay Comp G.

Got my Aeroforce gauge in, installed it in the vent today. It's definitely cool, still learning how to use it. When I first plugged it in, I took the car for a ride, I had it set to KR and Ign Advance... and I just pulled out from my curb, stopped at my stop sign, then I pulled out pretty gently up the street, only 15mph speed limit... and the KR flew up to 20*... I was like wtf is this. I've got plog and 3" downpipe with an intake and stock pulley, stock tune. After I drove for a few minutes though, I looked at it again and it was reading zero.

Took it out a little while later and watched it on some pulls, on 70% throttle KR stayed zero until right before the 2-3 shift where it jumped to 2* for a second and went back down to like .3 then to zero. It's working well now, dont know what that 20* thing was about though. I definitely love some of the functions it has... I got Overkill pcm on the way, hopefully that'll go in 2 weeks from now since he's on vacation.

Just popped the vent assembly out, popped the ball retainer out, ball falls out easy, need a 60mm CordAway grommet that you can get at Staples, the gauge fits very snug in the grommet... wrap electrical tape around the outside of the grommet until it fits very tightly into the hole where the vent ball used to be.

Drop the OBDII wire back behind the kick panel below the steering wheel to the OBDII port, then I just wrapped the slack of the wire up into a tight loop and fastened it there with a zip tie. Block off that vent by cramming a towel or something in there, you dont want red hot air, or ice cold AC blasting on it. Bolt it all back up and be happy.

Yeah, that 20* KR had to be false. Wouldn't the car shut off if all the timing was pulled?

Had a detail day today and yesterday. First one in awhile since it's been raining every other day for almost 2 weeks, I ususally try to keep it up every other week in the summer.

Wash, dry, wax, black the tires and polish the wheels yesterday. Today I went over the whole car with Meguiar's Ultimate Detailer for the last touch of reflectivity and deepness. Cleaned and conditioned all the leather seats, shift knob, and steering wheel. Definitely wanna do the engine bay soon.

I wanna throw an inferno hood on this with the SE Lip, get the blower polished with a full engine bay detail and enter some shows next year if I have it done in time

    Aeroforce, shiny leather!

Freshly detailed cars are faster than dirty ones, and it's backed up my hard science.

You wash off all that dirt = weight reduction.
