Very nice, I am thinking of getting that exhaust, in for the video.
He has a Humount, I want very much. here Grand Prix 1992-2003 - $65.00 : Humount, Quality Mounting Brackets
Hey xxpappas13xx I got a custom head unit face from Humount it really sets my car apart from others I love it and every time someone new sits in my car they always point it out!
The Video I made was dark and sucked so ill post a better one tomorrow for you guys. I want to do a before header and after header sound bite. Now I gotta decide if im gonna try the headers myself or just pay a shop hrmmmmm...
Sorry it took so long, the weather has been crappy let me know what ya think. I cant tell is the sound quality is good or not as I put it together on my laptop but I used really nice Movie camera with an actual mic so let me know if I should redo it
ZZP 2.5 Cat Back Exhaust Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - YouTube
Out of all the sound clips I have heard, that was one of the best. I do have a Klipsch 2.1 surround with a 8" sub, so it sounds awesome. Well done Sir.
Sweet! If I ever get those headers in ill make sure to do a follow up clip, and then maybe even a cam someday!
Very excited for this, great way to end the day with a delivery like this from your friendly neighborhood UPS guy!
WOW, very nice delivery.
Now all I need is to find some time!
So here is an update on the suspension work I did recently, shoulda done the headers while she was jacked up and the sway bar was out but this was tough enough on its own!
Here we go, remember im hella newb.
The cause of all this....
Missing rear Sway bat bracket, three bucks at a pullapart
New Rear
New Front
New Rear Trailing Arms
Had a issue with the stock bolt fitting but ended up going to a hardware store and picking up a 5/8" x 4" bolt and that solved the issue
New Struts and Springs
Lil Blacky torn down and parts laid out
Stuff coming together
This front sway bar bracket bushing was a nightmare! Ended up having to get some Moogs and they fit well but still had to make an unimaginable contraption of ratchet straps and prybars to get the bolts to seat.
Ill post a before and after pic this next weekend once the ride settles a bit. All in all I love it! She corners like an actual car now and not a rhino. Love the stiffer ride and I feel much better response now. Over all im happy, still thinking about the LCAs. But need to get my darn headers in before they get to thick of a coat of dust on em.
Looking good, bet it's going to handle real nice after all of that.
Yeah she feels more like a two door car now! I find that the new and improved handling is killing my MPGs racekar......
Those new struts have lowering springs right?
Pics of the car on the ground and complete?
Yeah ill post some up wanted to wait to let them settle a little bit, honestly there is not a huge drop which is to be expected based on other members feedback about SSCs the front has leveled out which is nice so it doesn't look like I got a trunk full of 15s in it. Was hoping for a little bit more drop.... Eibach.............. but yeah will see how she sits over time.
Ok so here are some before and afters of the drop prepare to be amazed.....
Before
After
Really not a huge difference but it rides better, it does seem to level out front to back but its not a dramatic difference.
More pics after
If I had to do it all over again id look into coilovers, but with the current set up I do not get any vibration so I dont think I will need my spacers, maybe just shortened dogbones? So for a newb like me this was good enough but the end result is not a " 1.8" " drop
car look good need roof rail brake up that black
Looks real good, it will get a little lower once they settle, at least mine did.
Id love some rails just to set it apart a lil more, I sure hope they settle if nothing else it was a great learning experience!
