My ideas do stem from others on the interwebs...sometimes, I will sit outside and stare at my car like a blank canvas and figure out what I want....its all about what you want to try.

I really wish I just had half the creative skills some of the other car modders out their have or even some of these guys who write scripts for tv shows/movies or guys who do web design, they really have the talent.

Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

Agreed... I think Ive had a clear idea in my head for sometime as to what direction I want to take my car in...

I draw as much inspiration from other grand prixs as I do the tuning community in general... ESP vw/Audi/g8/Holden.

Ok, so. How did you do the Lower part of the SE lip? I recently put the SE lip on my 08 and that looks kind of cool. Also, how do you like the lowering springs? I am thinking of dropping my car a little once I get my rims (this weekend) and all that jazz. Check out my car sometime if you want. Nothing special. I kind of like the stripes too. Black would go with the rims I am getting but dont know the first thing about that.

I have bigger plans for my front lip but... When I got it I masked out the middle section Black, Painted the rest Galaxy Silver, added the red pinstripe to break up the two, then cleared the whole thing. Someone else on one of the forums did the HD lip on their GP (non-SE valance car) so I decided to try it on the lip and it worked nicely. Others have done it since.

Stripes are pretty easy, just make sure you are using quality vinyl. I cut my own.

SSCs plant the car nicely, I have eibachs in my Trans Am... those are pretty harsh.

If yur running 19s or 20s you should roll your fenders (esp the back end if yur carrying people)...

I used the regular SSC's, not the one for a sound system. I believe Shipman on GPONA used the 045's on his Grey GP with black mesh... he liked them, and they looked great...

After seeing your car and Daves car, I am thinking about that HD lip on the SE lip.

I think I will get this stuff
2-1/4 in. x 16 ft. Rubber Garage Door Bottom Seal-G16H at The Home Depot

Do you know the width of yours?

Then jsut double side tape and self tap screws with washers every 6"'s or so.

Yeah that looks like the right stuff... And yes, you can double side tape it, but for going down the highway, you should also screw (with washers) as you mentioned...

I ripped mine off once coming down a steep drive (my head was elsewhere as we just came from a funeral)... Had it replaced the next day...

LOL... Ive owned a 98 GTP Sedan and a 97 GTP coupe before this one (both were black, the Sedan was done up to a degree, and the Coupe was rotten when I got it and beyond saving sadly), and I can honestly say this is my fave GP to date...

There is something to be said for the sexy lines of a 97-03, and the aftermarket community seems to have embraced them more so as well with visual goodies and what not... BUT... I think Drunkie and others have shown that with a little bit of innovation/imagination/balls (whatever you want to call it) an 04 plus can and will stand out...

I think the 04 plus crowd is growing within the online community as the cars get cheaper and within the grasp of crazies like us that arent afraid to push forward...

That being said, if the right 98-02 GTP coupe (ideally little old man owned from new and all original with low miles and always garaged for basically free...LOL), Id snap it up in a heart beat (provided I had the room in my drive)

Trust me, Im no where near done with my car just yet... there is alot of innovative stuff coming... probably geared more towards visuals than performance (at this time)... I already have two moving violations within the last 13 months... I cant afford another one...

Even though I copy half the stuff on your car and Drunkie's. I still want it to get close to like your cars. Looks wise. I am NA, but I am more focused on looks. I guess it is kind of getting there.

I figure its cool to share ideas and figure out what works from others that have been there ahead of you... (trust me this time last year I was pouring over all the info Drunkie posted on the Mori Retrofit and getting ready to do mine)... And take those ideas and implement what works for you, your budget, and your car...

But at the same time, I think its important for all of us to have our own theme/identity... I think its safe to say no one wants their car blatantly copied to a tee...

Dave has the Panda thing going on which I think is pretty neat, I have this re-birth thing going on, and others have their thing too... I think it would be boring if we were all the same tbh.

NE ways, I ramble, off to bed I go, 630am comes fast when it's already midnight...
