The new toy... Causing neglect of my beloved beast!
    Is a little rocket!

Haven't even inspected the beast... and Reggie expired too, have a full set of R1 rotors and ceramic pads to go on her as well.

Is this how it ends? Loose interest?
Son sold the old SE, 260k+ on her... Everything ran tip top but body was rotting away. Even sold her off with my great audio set up and polished torque stars that were in perfect shape!

Have a shed loaded with stuff... Might have a fire sale come spring time, extra top swap block, stock trans, RR's, 80lb injectors, and much much more... What to do!?!?

@spazzz, the tuners I see for the BMW platform are not like HPT, huh? No tables to edit? Just sliders... Gauged changes with no real detail? Let me know... Been lurking, but not much info to go on.

Anyways, just stopping by to see whuts up!

Sounds about right on the tune. While my Audi is different.. tunes are about the same situation.

    That sux...

Worse still is all the beemer heads thinking they're tuning! Lol

Big Problems with fueling and waste gate/psi and throttle (electronic) closures...

Wish HPT would incorporate the BMW ECU's into their lot... The B58 engine is a beast, been up to 700hp with meth... 600hp seems the safe place. Easy 450hp with just a few mods.

I'm going to install a CRS oversized heat exchanger, downpipe and be at M2 power (420-440hp)... Transmissions are unbreakable!

Yes, I agree, is even Sharper in person! I liked the Metallic Orange too, but that was a little aggressive, Hahaha. Maybe if I went with a convertible I would have went that way. Anyways...

So, I took the car cover off the beast, and discovered that the virus eating the rocker panel on the passenger side has continued! It's almost completely gone really bad... I once this car, runs like a top, needs some TLC now, but not sure what to do about the rust. Arrrrgh!

Have boxes and boxes of parts... Should probably put together a list and pics to set up a garage sale thread. So much blood sweat n busted buckles, lol.

Have a full set of R1 brake rotors and ceramic pads I'm going to put on as I've had them sitting there since last year. Figured what the hell, right. Got to get it inspected, lol. Think I only put about 1k miles on it last year. Still only 127k on her.

Have a look into Tuner Pro.

Pretty sure thats what the big dogs use for custom maps.

Yeah on the tuning, guys will buy MHD then get a custom tune after sending logs to tuner.

Is yours a B58? Since Twisted Tuning has been playing around with his new Supra you could go through him

Been on spoolstreet and others, watching intently. Tuner Pro seems ok but there isn't a lot of info out there that I've found so far. So big learning curve if I go that route. Would love HPT to go there but there doesn't seem to be movement in that direction there.

So yes, I specifically looked at the engine/package before buying. Probably should have went M2 as there is so much more 3rd party options available. But didn't feel the additional $ was worth it (then). Now only to realize the ceiling is much higher on that engine, lol. But really, the M2 is more a track car, I'll be plenty happy with 440+/-HP with just a few easy MOD's and a tune...

Well even the stage 1 MHD OTS tune will get you a good chunk of bump the way it looks.

My E series on stage 1 was a difference but an intercooler and stage 1+ is huge.
Then again I am not a race car driver like you. But I know we both like boobs!!

    Lolz...

So... I had R1 concept rotors and ceramic pads sitting there for a while, figured to drop them in right!?

Well, damned drivers side rotor was seized to the hub, after much banging, heating, spraying, no good, wasn't budging!
So had to order a new Hub too for that rotor, what a PITA! Rust is consuming this thing like nothing I've seen. Then of course, the rear driver side, I lose the hub centric ring... Lol, you can't make this **** up! But she starts right up, always sounds mean! I should post a video of the custom exhaust because it doesn't sound like the neutered stock engine

Finally been driving her a little bit... And sitting don't do well, lol. Appears my steering rack is leaking now and the downpipe connection is leaking, always gets a little loose. Might try to get a few custom pieces welded up and stop the step clamps BS.

Runs like a top though and really has a nice rumble to her... That Overkill Cam and Variable Lifters work nicely. Want to drop some pulleys and drop the 80# injectors in with some E85 maybe before end of summer, but we shall see. Rust is still there, been looking at donor cars for a winter switch over possibly. Is hard to find a low mileage Arizona car lol. Want a GTP as well. Seems not too many left any more

Anyways, just though I'd drop in and say hello to all!

    Although it saddens me...

It may be time to part ways with my beloved Pontiac

The body is rusting away and it doesn't get much love lately. The engine and trans runs amazing, overkill cam, stageII heads, variable hydraulic lifters, high ratio rr's, double roller, un-updated HP Tuner, and more!

I also have a top swapped engine sitting there, needs a harmonic balancer. A stock transmission and so much more, like the N* throttle body, 80# Injector Dynamics injectors and a bazillion parts, like an extra good and front/rear bumpers... The car has upgraded SS brake lines, an amazing sound system and a perfect immaculate leather interior among others...

If I went through the pain of finding a donor body, it's a hard month work the work to swap over and I just don't have that in me right now. I'm not looking to part it out either. I know the platform is fading into obscurity, but figured maybe some would want it all and would bring her back to life and enjoyment! I don't know... But she's been sitting there lately and these are my thoughts.

    Anyways...
