Thanks guys, Car is about to roll over into 155k in a week or so.

I hate cold weather, In the summer I always kept it detailed and the paint looks flawless, but with the cold weather and just regular car washes, its not as shiny as before. Kinda makes me want to just keep it in the garage after a detail but its my daily driver.

I bought alot of goodies today, I got a spare Gen 3 case that i will be porting and see how that goes. Pictures up tonight.

Got really bored the last few days, Decided to take a stab at porting my Gen 3. I forgot to take pictures of my port work but I basically continued the ^ all the way down and made the corners are smooth as I could. Got shorter snout bolts and everything came out good.

Also decided to paint the blower a different color to give the engine bay a bit more detail since everything was gloss black. I went with VHT Redfire High Heat paint, and it came out awesome. The cap does not show any gloss and more of a matte finish but it is indeed glossy. One thing that made me sad was the ugly fuel rails hiding my work. I might just get modified fuel rails since the blower pops alot more without em lol or might just polish them, no idea yet.

    Pictures:

    Sad face picture

I really think polishing the fuel rails would be the best route right now. We will see tomorrow. As far as the porting on the Gen 3, no major differences honestly, low end is always greeted by wheel spin with my crappy tires, I might switch over my Nittos and see how it is. I will say though the car was a nicer pull from 30-90 with the 3.5, ported blower and fwi. I still need to scan it but I have no access to my own since my uncle is using it. Still interested in seeing if I am getting any KR..

Looks good, even with the rails on, or paint the rails the same color!

Thanks, It looks decent since it matches my current theme. Might just leave them be for now, I might although pick up a spare rail from my friends Junkyard and start polishing that.

Still really undecided on leaving the wheels dipped for now. The family says the car looks better with them silver, I dipped the centers since I just hated keeping them clean of brake dust, knocked two birds with one stone since I always wondered how it would look with the centers black and lip left alone.

One thing that is really ticking me off is every time I look at the car, the amount of door dings it has gotten has increased.. I know these are from work and whats funny is that I am the kind of person who always parks with enough space from other cars to let them have enough room for their doors to fully open... Yet I see I have gotten 3 new hits in the past week on my driver side... I know its my daily and its to be expected but god damm... do people not care about other peoples **** or something? I will be parking far away from the pack now.

One thing that everyone, even my family keeps telling me to do is Tint.. I will be getting quotes this week and having it taken this weekend. I would do it myself but I would just rather pay the $80-120 and have them do it right and with warranty to make sure its done right.

I am also getting tired of my Asa's. I have been eyeballing XXR wheels. I really love XXR 531s (CCW Rep) but their only offered in 16's.. My next favorite is the XXR 521s, but its only offered in dark colors. I would love them in full Plat finish they offer... I know a few GPs on here with XXR wheels, a silver with 527s and white with 530s. What do you guys think?

I was bored as hell yesterday and decided to clay and wax the car yesterday. Wow what a difference it makes. The car is still shinny as ever after a day of full driving. While before, after a few hours, it would be dusty like a mofo.

I also removed the plastidip. Looks way better imo, I keep getting compliments from other GP owners in the area. One thing that makes me sad is that in the 2 years of owning this car, I have only seen one modified GTP on the road and sadly it seemed like it was just running a Open cone from the sound of it, I see one white GTP at a Autozone near me that has a SD hood but the owner says its stock.. Makes me sad, then again 99% of the rest of the gps I see are all beaten to crap.

Jenny, The '99 Silvermist GTP. With the mod's that matter.
I would rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than lose by an inch, because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.

Well went to the yards today, scored a set of 04+ needles. I also started to remove the VHT from the headlights, did both corners today. Retrofit soon..

Also took some night pictures, I need to get a better camera than my phone, tried tweaking the settings so they look sorta decent.. Enjoy.

Im debating on changing wheels, That or get wider meat to fill the gap better. Another thing I kinda want to see is how they would look in Gunmetal instead of silver.

    Might do that soon.

    Terrible week...

So I decided to finally redo my headlights. Took them apart, sanded them down with 220 with the orbital, then wetsanded by hand 320>400>600>800>1000>1500>2000>2500.. Probably spent close to 6 hours total on the set. I also went ahead and did a DIY tint, meaning I painted the insides black with plastidip and it looked amazing. I took the car to my local walmart, found this 40th edition that was pretty.. I walk out of Walmart with my lights looking like this..

They tried yanking the lights off like jackasses, they managed to take off the side cover and took it since it wasnt anywhere near the car. Driver side headlight now doesnt clip onto the clips that bolts onto the support, causing them to pop out and look ghetto ass hell. I was very pissed. All this time spent on em just to have some retard trying to steal them which all he managed to do was break them...

I am now on the hunt for new headlights, Found some projectors local that I am looking to get, but we will see.

I am also trading the ASAs for stockers with decent tires.. I would love a set of pregens but no luck with a trade or finding some on Craigs.

sucks man...spend all that time just to have some krazy ghetto-ass wal-fly come along and booger it up.

maybe its a good omen...to spend money on new lights.
I spent about the same amount of time trying to unhaze mine...they looked good but just not new
and a day later ordering new ones cuz I just wasnt happy enuf

I really like that red S/C, the Prix looks sleek with those rims, I dont know why you would want stock?
