I've been wanting to get a Grand Prix (specifically a GTP) ever since I started driving back in back in high school. A couple weeks ago I had the choice to either keep my 03 Expedition or get a car, and I chose a GXP!!! It's a blast to drive and I'm very very happy with it.

It came with a K&N Aircharger and filter and Magnaflow Catback exhaust. I plan on getting DT headers in a week or so, chrome speed grills for the front, and an Overkill tune eventually. It could have other mods but I really have no idea how to tell.

It had tint on the side windows when I got it, but I got pulled over and given a warning because in MI we're not allowed to have tint... so now that's gone.

Any suggestions or tips on my first GP GXP? I know it's pretty stereotypical looking as far as GXP's go, but I love 'er!

    Gorgeous car!
pick a color and do front/rear inlays?
paint the calipers if you do a color other than red as I can see they already are red.

What she said. My GTP is black, but I did all my accents in orange. Do something out of the ordinary. Yellow and Orange are cool.

    So is Purple.

!!!! Yes. GO LIONS!!! ... And also yes, I plan on driving it in the winter, which is kinda sad. I plan on getting some blizzaks in november and I plan on getting a good carwash with undercarriage wash weekly.

Painting the sidebars sounds pretty cool. I could definitely see an orange going there.

LED tails then tint. Retrofit headlights. If you're feeling adventurous do the double-retro, I know one of our 04+ members has done that. Then I always like the shrouds painted to match the accent color, like mine are orange.

build up your transmission first, or at least get a transmission cooler. best thing you can do, especially if you want it to last

I'm going to school right now in the UP, about as far north as you can get in the UP actually.

I'm definitely digging the idea of doing something with the bar-light in the middle back. It's kind of just sitting there alone doing nothing.

She's a great looking car! my ideas:

do the HD chin spoiler (theres links around for it)
    inlays
overlays for teh GXP door badges (same colour as inlays)
then because its black, buff the piss out of it. make it glossy as fek!
