Here are some pictures of my car, 100% stock. Yes, its a GT, but for whatever reason there is no supercharger in the engine. Nothing about the interior makes it a GT either, it's pretty base. After calling Pontiac and verifying that it actually IS a GT is because of the rocker panels. It doesn't even have the GT emblem on the back..

Here is a picture of my old GT

Nice pics, welcome to the forum. The 07 is not a GT though.

'07 was the last year that they came out with GT. In '06 only, a GT badging came with a supercharger. I can't see your photos, but I'm guessing it is probably a base if it is bare minimum.

I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be that much of a difference in insurance price. Now if they were saying it was supercharged... then that would be a whole new story.

I almsot got a grand prix gt/gtp but insurance was crazy so i went looking for a car that had a 3800 without the gt badge or any "sports" badge, came across the Impala. much cheaper in insurance.

It definitely is a GT. He called up Pontiac and verified it with the VIN number..I always give him **** for buying and paying for a GT but really getting a base car. It WAS supposed to have a supercharger in it, but I think someone special ordered it this way.

Changing the pistons? Whoa whoa, not so fast.
It will be way more cost effective to transplant an L32 supercharged engine in or even swap on L32/67 heads, supercharger, and intake onto your naturally aspirated high compression engine, and make more power per psi.

Last, but not least. I don't care who said GT this or GT without blower that. That is a base model, end of story.

It wasn't a beach, it was a boat launch area. Didn't have any issues getting stuck. And im pretty sure if Pontiac says its a GT it is. Just doesn't mean it has all the features it should, cause some moron who ordered it this way..*sigh*

Yes to all of that, but it has a 6 disc changer in it.

LOL I wonder if the dealer fooled the original buyer into thinking it's a "more special" base model and ended up paying more for it cause of it.

Incorrect. 2005 was the last year of the GTP nameplate on a Grand Prix. In 2006 and 2007 GT's were supercharged and the "GT" became a base model. In 2008 there were no supercharged Grand Prix's and only were "base" and GXP's.

If the car is an 07 and its not supercharged, its not a GT.
