Len aka FourSixer is building up his ride. It's a 98 GTP in "police love me" red.

He's about to take his stock drivetrain and upgrade a bit. Parts include
    S1X cam
S3 Prj heads (with front drilled for L26 mount)
    1.8 HS rockers
    Titanium retainers
    130# Crowe springs
    CC HD valve locks
    Reusable rocker bolts
    Intense pushrods
    Meziere EWP
    Rollmaster DR timing chain
    8 rib SC belt
    Bonneville tensioner
Alt relocation bracket (unless I talk him outta it)
    Ported LIM
    S2 ZZP IC
    Gen V ported
3.4 MPS (gonna change to a 2.9 quick)
    Frozen boost FMHE
    Meziiere IC pump (20 gpm)
    60lb injectors
    ZZP IC pump controller
    LS1 TB
    SSAC headers
    PRJ fuel rails
    Tim King transmission
    ATI torque converter
    and there's more I'm forgetting

    The piles of parts

    Checking it out

    Dirty wires

    Cleaned wires

Here she is.. (This motor was in my Bonne)

JP Single timing chain that I ran. Considering..this looks good.

    Here comes a DR

the money shot (I always take this picture)

GM FSM tells us to use RTV at the bottom of the gasket

    And back together

Took the wrap off the transmission and noticed it'll need work before going in. Dinged up axle seal and VSS sensor is broken

    Need to order
    1/4" NPT plugs
1/2" NPT to 3/4" hose fittings
    Washers for IC bolts
    LIM Gaskets
Gasket material for IC gaskets (make own)
    Metal to mount IC
    Rubber to isolate IC pump
Lower conversion gasket set (on hand)
Permatex 26B gasket maker (IC gasket)
    GM Pipe sealant with PTFE
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

btw I feel for that tranny going in with the history behind your beastly motor... hope you gave the guy the 411 on the number of trannies that engine has destroyed

:mg <epic... your engine to transmissions
lol from the other forum where I noticed originally... except I noticed the ported GenV blower at the top... very nice he should be happy until your motor breaks the axles

Tim is the only alternative I would consider besides Dave over at TEP. I think that comment was more in reference to the fact that this engine has an appetite for trannies than someone knocking Tim's work. It's some kind of bad juju kinda thing.

i am skeptical about the axles. i ordered a set of vogtland springs to bring the car back up to a decent ride height. along with engine mount spacers i hope to have the axles close to in-line. i have B&G spring that has the front to low

It will likely need cradle spacers. Which are easy enough to make/buy.

Len, I told you I have a problem with tearing input shaft reluctor wheels off the drive gear in the trans. Most guys never do. I think my right foot was a little overzealous most days. I sent Tim a pm to try and ensure if that input shaft is stock or not. If it's stock I'm going to be questioning it's durability when you pounce on the throttle. If it's not you should be good to go.

Tim built my first trans when he worked at intense. I slaughtered two of their LSD's (common) and then started killing reluctor wheels (4-6 in total). Reluctors tend to dig holes into the channel plate very easily. There are other guys putting down much more power than I did w/o any problems. Only question is..did I put it down more often and harsher, I think so.

    Yes.. that's this motor
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

^^^ Precisely. I never knock a good tranny-mans work. I just know the history behind this motor and its appetite. It is the exact reason why Bill learned how to dive into a tranny and build one back up that would hold... and how to control the right foot

Judging by what its got in it tho, Im sure if you take care of it and don't beat on her TOO much... she should hold up nicely

No worries...it wasn't right telling myself that many times "at least the bolts won't fight". When thats the upside of pulling the trans, it's time to move on.
