Haha so true. As for debadging, go for it. Do it how I did, took 15 minutes and cost nothing. If you don't have the tar and bug remover any rubbing polish or like windex might work.

So my parents don't think I should take off the "3800 V6" badges because it shows the engine off... and might lower the resell price... What do you guys think? Will it look too plain without them? Thanks

it shouldnt affect the value.. and if it would then just save them and put them back on before selling. the 3800 v6 badges are the ugliest things IMO, itll look much cleaner with out them

Its not supercharged so your showing off that it has the middle grade engine, not the better one... meh not worth keeping them for that.

They are 10-15 in any color you want on Ebay, if you need to sale and they HAVE to have those emblems to make more money, buy them later. Honestly, most consumers wouldn't notice the difference if there were 2 identical Grand Prix's sitting side by side and one was de-badged and the other was stock.

EDIT: btw given the burn, I would have ordered new ones too

I just took off the 380 emblems, it looks the same, maybe a little too plain, idk.

    I like my black headlights/corners...

Check out my daily driver here for some tips if your looking for them...it has inlays...totally debadged...tinted tails and such...I've seriously spent...maybe 300 bucks on the entire car...including the headlights, HID's, new fluids...and junk. Total budget car.

Your parent's are crazy. Most almost 85% of our cars have the 3800v6 if you don't know what motor is in it when you buy it your a re-re. It looks 10 times better with them off!

Glad your doing your own thing with it and not listening to the parents on that one.

Didnt they only come on the car for like 2 or 3 years like that and then they stopped putting them on for the remainder of that bodystyle?

    Nope.

They came on every 3800 V6 car that wasn't supercharged.

Pretty sure it hasnt been crashed before. I did take down the foam type deal sheet down from the hood one time and saw that someone had written something like " I luv my fu job" in perminant marker or somethin and im like who would have put that there?! So i guess it is possible that somebody like got some front end damage and they tried to hide it i guess.
