I would, give them a couple days and then do them again just to be safe. Don't use as much the next time you do it as that would be alot of excess waste, but just to ensure the softness and cleanliness.
LOL After that convo, my comment just sounds bad
Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
The leathers are such a pain. I need to take mine off so I can fix my heater, just hate messing with them.
Your pics make it look easy and simple lol
Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
honeslty, watch some of these videos, in particular the 2nd last one about steaming, and then the ones about removal.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
More woring...
Ok so seat bottom is back on
process:
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...913CF6644D.jpg
pushed it into the velcro
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...913A32FF43.jpg
the front "rolls in" hard to explain, that video link helps explain it.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...9137950118.jpg
rest just clips on
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...91355986E2.jpg
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...9132346036.jpg
this seam has to be rolled and pressed in to give it a clean edge
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...912DC47501.jpg
back clips as well
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...912A61E417.jpg
then theres the headrest parts, i forgot this part.
to get them off in order to remove the skin you have to first remove the headrest (use a small allen key in the hole to press in)
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...9121CE3EBA.jpg
that gets it out
to get the plugs out you need to first start to skinn the back, once it gets to the top, you use your fingers to press in the "V" and push/pull up.
http://i693.photobucket.com/albums/v...91249F486E.jpg
to put them back, just press em in.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
Looking good n cleaning up well! Them clips are like a tonneau cover sort of, are they in yet?! Picture whoring ill be expecting lol
Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
Before they go in carpets getting vacuumed and cleaned. Interior too.
Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
if you dont have a rug shampooer, you can rent a steam cleaner from most super markets. at least here in the states you can. they work real nice.
just make sure it has a hand held deal, or a shorter shaft, as they dont always fit so well inside the car. last time i did it, i took the carpet out of the car.
truth is, take the console out and the door sill trim off, and the carpet is out. hardest part is lifting it over the shiftier. and its not that hard.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
I think I'll leave the carpet in. It's not that dirty. Needs a good vacuuming and some spot cleaning. I've got one of those carpet cleaners with a want. Might use it.
Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...
makes the car smell real fresh for a good long time, shampooing it that is.
