Yeah it's the same. Like stated the dorman front is overall stiffer than the gpmm due to it being overall denser.

Doesn't matter if it says GM..Chevy etc it's all the same thing you just need to check the part # 12498642 keep in mind then GMPP bar also came on some Monte Carlos, impala etc so that tends to be why Chevy is in the name

And you probably won't notice much of a difference from the dorman front and GMPP front yes ones solid vs hollow but both are still a huge improvement over the stock bar. Factor in the difference in price and if the whole solid vs hollow thing is worth the extra moolah

I have the full GMPP handling kit (doesn't include trailing arms) and really enjoy it. I actually gained half a mile per gallon on my commute to school due to less braking in the turns.

guess no one know? ah well lol.

Another question I hope someone can answer, I have a overkill tune and its tuned for the 180 tstat that's installed currently, It doesn't heat as well in the winter which was fine previous winters, but now with a baby coming in the week or 2 I want the car to be a little warmer so I can get some more heat in the car.
so my question is can I throw a 195 t stat back in even though its tuned for the 180 t stat? I know the fans will still kick on at 180 degrees but I thought it would help a lil.
any negatives effects that you guys can think of?

as soon as I posted I got a email back from overkill.
    from overkill
"Fans will run at full speed trying to keep the engine cool. Best to adjust the cooling fan settings so the motors don't wear out. I suppose you could pull the high speed fan relay through the winter, and then put the 180 and relay back in for the summer, but that's an oddball suggestion, just something I've heard done before.
I'll be back in London for 10 days in about a week's time, if you want any adjustment"

So I guess ill try to meet up with him when he comes back.

a 195 will be fine in the winter. Your fans are probably running full speed all the time now anyway

So overkill is coming back to ontario for a week and we are going to try to meet up so he can adjust the fans so got that taken care of.

Bought a stock air box from the wreckers, I'm sick of the sucking/whistle noise at mid throttle and how noisy it is in general.

    NOW some questions...
    Bought some rtv

Hopefully the right stuff, taking off all my band clamps off and throwing the rtv in the clamps.
My question is do I put a thick bead on each side of the band clamp and another bead where the clamps goes together?

My other question is i bought a new band clamp and it came with some kind of sealer in it already.

Should I take it out and throw my rtv in?

A bead around the slip joint of the headers should do the trick. You shouldn't have to put the rtv around the clamps themselves.

So take the headers off and put the rtv on the slip joints of the cross over? and put back together?
That's a lot of work for a newb who didn't put the headers on lol.

no, a bead around the lip of the slip joint, then re clamp it.

A N* throttle body will get rid of the sucking/whistling noise. You should be able to find one at a junk yard and Will is re-tunning your car anyways.

Stock air box did the trick. Not looking for anymore power just looking to quiet the car and make it exhaust leak free.

Next year spring time I'll get the rusted out rockers cut out and some new ones in. Then a paint job if money is good.
