Also notice the picture.... your convo on tires and racing got me to notice... are your fronts running rotation backwards? usually that design would run the other direction, after all in the rain the way it is now would pull water to the middle of the tire and cause hydro-planing, not push it out away from the tire to keep traction.... correct me if im wrong tho, just curious
Thanks for the compliments. I'm waiting to get a front air dam, and I'm definitely planning to paint the mid section Gloss Black, same with the gray part of the rear bumper. It's just a matter of time and money since I'm not a great painter.
And as for the wheels, Good eye! Yes they are backwards. I switched them around to see if they would hook up better on dry road that way. Found out that they don't, so I'll be putting them back the right way lol:th_laugh-lol2:
Re: My 97 Transformation(TON OF PICS)
I heard that the tread wears out faster if you have them on the wrong way.
Re: My 97 Transformation(TON OF PICS)
Very clean with the Red and white stripes, got any better photos of those rims?
Re: My 97 Transformation(TON OF PICS)
I like how the stripes stop and dont go all the way down.......nice job

Can't tell if it's the way they are mounted, or the way I've been driving, But they're wearing pretty quick:th_laugh-lol2:

Thank you. I'm kind of glad I didn't go all the way down with them now that I've decided I want to paint the bumper inserts black.
My GP now on a 2.6 pulley (video)
Well with the help of this forum, and a few good friends, I caught the modding bug and ran with it. It has all led up to this. My supercharger build.
Besides staged heads (maybe) I think I'm done modding her until I end up going turbo. Here is a quick speedo vid from a dig. It's no Ferrari, but I am very pleased with the way she performs. Thanks GPF for helping me along the way!

Re: My GP now on a 2.6 pulley (video)
holy that thing pulls hard, good work sir
Re: My GP now on a 2.6 pulley (video)
Thanks guys. I'm still trying to learn how to launch this thing.
Eased it to 1/2 throttle by 20mph
3/4 throttle at about 35 (then it kicked back into first and spun to 50!)
Let off a little and went WOT after it grabbed at around 55 mph.
(still spun a little from 55-60)
It really surprised me, to say the least
Re: My GP now on a 2.6 pulley (video)
I wish you had a video of it running outside of the car! :-/ like a nice pass would be sweet!

Thanks Ryno. It should hold up pretty well. This build will be Tuning, timing, compression, boost (in that order) I found out the hard way that spinning the hell out of an inefficient blower is going to make a ton of heat & there's no way around it. And we all know heat makes KR.
I started on a 3.3 to make sure the new GT block didn't see any kr, and honestly, It feels as fast as the GTP block on the 2.8. I couldn't be happier

Giggity Gooooooooo!!! :th_thumbsup-wink:
