Good that works. Just depends on what your painting will dictate if you need high temp paint or not.

polish rail > painted if you can help it.

Oh btw love that color. im jealous lol

I think silver brackets would look good along with the blower being black and silver

Good idea. I would paint the braces black also or maybe silver...but you don't want to overdo it w/ each color...so try to split it up and even it out.

So the 25th I flipped my dog bone mounts. Definately a difference. Motor obviously doesn't rock as much. Second gear shifts feel much firmer than before...I also have another vid with the intake ill get posted up sometime.

Also scanned my car with my buddy's aeroforce tonight. 1st gear has no knock. Second dropped about a degreeish than what it was before.
When I raced and Glanzer scanned the car I had over 3 degrees. Tonight I peaked at 2.5 but the knock was usually between 1.8 and 2.2.

    And vid with intake...

Question. So flipping the dogbone mounts I read in the Safely Modding your 3800 that this was a good thing and this is starting to make sense. So my question is with an all stock GP it will make difference in the engine performance? And if you continue to mod it out we should keep them flipped as well? Thanks continue thread!! Lookin great man!

It doesn't give a performance increase.

It just limits movement in the engine to eliminate any possibly of false knock you might have been getting from crappy blown lower mounts, and with less engine movement, means better shift feel AND better launching since there is less transitioning going on over thur.

Austin needs to post awesome picture he texted me over the weekend of the secret racekar projekt

Shhhh Blueguy. I'll get there. I might post some stuff tomorrow. My only day off for the whole next week. As far as the seats Eddie the fronts are direct bolt in. Rears the bottom has to be modified just a bit. Still pretty easy though

Alright so i'll update a little bit...i got ~2 hours before I have to be to work.

Soooooo back on Feb 24 I had a Viper alarm put in. The model number is 5902V...awesome system. I had a local shop do it that's very reliable and does good work. I've bought all my stereo equipment from them so they gave me a pretty damn good deal.

    Couple little things about it.
Up to a mile range. Best i've gotten is about half a mile with buildings and shizz in the way...not bad i'd say.
2-way remote...legit LCD screen in the remote which is rechargeable. Also tells what zone was disturbed if the alarm was to go off. So if a door was opened it will say "door trigger". If a shock sensor is triggered it will say "sensor trigger."

Aside from having the door triggers it's also got a trunk trigger if someone was to open it. Has 2 shock sensors which is nice because the whole damn car has vibration dampener and the vibrations don't get around the car too well.
Also has a dual stage infra-red sensor. Has 2 "bubbles." An outer which would be outside the car and an inner which is inside the car. If the outer field is disrupted it does a warn away chirp where the alarm doesn't actually go off but just beeps to let people know what's up. It also sends a message to the remote when a warn away event occurs. Back to the bubbles...if the inner bubble is disrupted(remember inside the car) the alarm will instantly go off. This means if i'm gonna run in the gas station real fast and dont wanna have to roll the windows up, I can knowing if someone tries to take stuff it's going to go off.

Speaking of running inside a gas station the system has a "pit stop" mode where I can activate the remote start with the car running and take the keys out of the ignition and the car will stay running. So say i'm running in the gas station fast. Pull up, put the car in park, release brake, activate remote start, take keys out of the ignition..car stays running, get out, shut the door and arm the system and go get meh drank, or chips, or whatev....kinda like it. There's plenty of other sheet. The manual for the thing is like 60some pages. Google the model number if you wanna know more about it.

Not really any pix to show here except the remote.

Just changed the name tag on the remote. It said "GTP" before. Now it says "Purple Haze" lawlz Also got a case for it.

So now that I had the alarm done and working great I felt comfortable putting some stereo stuff in it.... the next day lol. I had an Alpine stolen before I had the Prix. Didn't want that shiit happening again.
So...got another Alpine. Model number is IDA-X305S. It's a single din iPod/iPhone specific unit. Has HD radio, satellite radio, bluetooth, Pandora blah blah blah. I use the Pandora through my phone A LOT. I love it. I have the cord ran behind the HVAC and through the center console. I drilled a hole way done under where the cup holders would be to run the cord into the center flip out. Then pulled the cord through the felt piece with the random hole in it? Not sure what the hole is for but it works out nice.

Now I didn't want to get some ugly crappy mount for such a nice radio....so I got a HUmount. There's quite a few people on here that have them and mine is like pretty much everyone else's. Says "Grand Prix GTP" up top and "Supercharged" underneath of it. Pretty basic and simple but it looks nice. The thing I really like about it is you have to take the metal face of it off to get the radio out.

    Kind of a crappy pic...

So awhile back I got pulled over at about 12:30 coming home from work. I assumed for tint. But turns out my license plate light was out. The cop was a pretty nice guy...just gave me a warning. So I figured while i'm replacing the light I might as well switch to an LED. Brighter and longer lasting. Got a pair of Stage 3 LED's from Diode Dynamics.

    LED's...

And installed. I can drive down the interstate and look in the side mirror and see the ground behind the car o_O
