use lag bolts
Finally got some time to work on the struts when it wasn't 100*+ Got one finished up. Gonna start on another here soon.
Pix of course
This one is finished besides paint. Still don't have the rear sleeves yet. This sleeve is a bit short but you get the idea.
And a couple of side by sides.
Got a front mocked up. I still need washers. I sprayed some paint quick to keep them from rusting. But I'm going to scotchbrite them and spray them all flat black.
Okay. Anyone know where I can get coilover sleeves from. I'm tired of waiting for A1 to get my rear sleeves in stock
Anyone know of a sway bar link that's around 6" from stud to stud? I was lookin at doing heim joints but its gonna run close to 100 bucks for the parts to make 2 links. If I can find a shorter sway bar link that'd be better cause I can get a sway bar link for under 20 bucks probably
You can either buy some tie rods and use threaded rod and adjust to the height you need or order them off of white line racing universal 320mn end links
I might just cut the factory end link and shorten it and have a guy I know reweld it.
Switching gears. I tried that other tape I got. It's got a damn good hold but it's too wide and doesn't allow the rail to sit down in the channel properly so consequently it can't grab that good. Soooo...tonight I tried some 3m plastic adhesive that I found layin in my tool box. It kind of works, but it's too thin and it can't make up for the gab between the rail and the channel very well.
SOOOOOOOO. I think I figured out what I'm going to use, window weld winshield urethane. It's thick and can make up the gap, it's strong as hell. Should work.
Front is done. The rear sleeves should be here Wednesday and then I'll drop the rear Friday probably. But here's how it's sitting right now.
Jesus you really slammed that ****er lol I like. You like the ride?
Thanks guys!
It's not that low. I can go about an inch lower yet. But I'll only drop maybe another 1/4" or so.
As far as ride its not bad at all. It really rides the same. The only time I really notice it is when I hit a pretty big dip. But I have no complaints yet.
Looks good. Really like the purple color.
