heads and cam in the car or did i miss something?
Lol no. I decided to take a different route. I still have them though
Those Rails look good!! lol
So yesterday a buddy mounted my tires. He doesn't have a balancer so I took the car to a diff place to get them balanced. They said it'd be 38 just to balance them, and wait time was 1 1/2 hours before it could even be in the bay. Said screw it since I needed to get parts from MidnightBlue up there^^.
Parts I got from him:
Almost perfect door panels
Perect switch panels for the doors. None of the lettering/stickers are rubbed off and all the lights work.
Almost perfect steering wheel since mine is crappy and had glitter all over it from some chick.
Roof rails.
Had a different buddy balance my tires today since the local places want a minimum of 35 bucks, and wait time was even longer today. 3+ hours.
That's about it...boring update.
Sooo....been thinkin about running that head/cam combo. More people DD bigger cams than I thought.
That's it...nothing else exciting to post.
Also.....does anyone know why my wipers sit so far up? I've seen em sit straight up before because of the messed up tab, but mine only sit partially up. They never used to sit that high.
You can see in this pic they sit normal.

And then in this pic they sit way up.

First picture looks like a OFF spot, second picture looks like the rest spot for when you have the wipers on intermittent.
That's what it looks yea. But that's how they sit in the off position. I understand all I have to do is pop them off the splines and reset them, I'm just curious what might've caused this. I've never messed with the wipers other than changing blades, which obviously wouldn't cause this.
Turning them straight to full blast position causes them to jump splines. My silver car used to do this. Just reset them by loosening them. Just remember to turn them onto a slower setting before you turn them to full blast.
Hmm...that's interesting...guess i'll be more careful with them.
clearing snow off will do it too.. or heavy leaves etc.
Very possible
So I talked to a local guy that owns a shop. His powedercoating guy can do my GTX wheels for 300 or less...wooooo.
Got a limited edition spoiler

So I threw a DHP in yesterday. I'm likin the raised line pressure. I don't have the delayed reverse engagement or sloppy 1-2 anymore which is very nice. I like the raised shift points even though they really do nothing on stock valvetrain, I just like hearing the blower scream. And the lower fan turn on is nice as well.
Only complaint I have is the 3-1 shift isn't quite a 3-1. It thinks about it for a second and almost wants to grab second then first. Any idea why? Does it just need to get used to my car first or?
And I also ordered headers...whoop
Only pic I have of the headers. A buddy took it.

In preperation for the 3.4" pulley. Anyone know how long of screws I need? The shank size is M6. The thread pitch won't be hard to figure out. I'll take the hub to the hardware store and just start trying different M6 bolts till I find one that fits. I just need to know an approximate length.

M6 x 1 x 12 is the type of screw you'll be looking for.
