A few months ago decided to get a another GP, came across an ad for an 02' GT, 160K on the odometer, galaxy silver. After a conversation, decided to go down and look at it, after a few days we struck a deal and I brought it home. This is how I got it, car was clean, had some war wounds but nothing serious, told myself I wouldn't change a thing - oh well that didn't last long. So this thread is going to be another transformation thread with pics and ongoing updates...

This is how I brought it home, had a nuisance ABS/TCS light, but that hasn't come on for awhile, overall car was pretty clean. Notice the SilverMist license plate cover.

Move up to today, so far replaced the headlights and put clear corners in, also had Flip tint me a set of tails, and bought the correct galaxy silver filler, also swapped out the snowflake wheels and put on my torque stars. The rear bumper was kinda a sore spot, guys wife backed into something and scraped the corner down into the plastic, also was considering putting on a SLP Gen II spoiler.

About a month ago a guy on the other "site" started a post about totalling his Daytona, sent an PM about the spoiler, never heard back, didn't think anything of it. 2 weeks ago got a message asking if I was still interested, asked if he had the trunk lid - yes, wouldn't happen to have the rear bumper too? - yes... We struck a deal, yesterday made a 11 hour round trip to pick the stuff up. Cleaned it up and put it on, I paid what some are asking just for the spoiler, a deal I couldn't pass up. Here are some pics.

The guy apparently had the spoiler sold but the buyer backed out, when trying to take it off nicked some paint on the trunk lid, that will be taken care of shortly.

Just some random shots of the old rear bumper, new one is 100 times better.

Next will be the exhaust, didn't feel the need to go with Magnaflow or aftermarket, so keeping it pretty much stock with a catback and dual slanted tips.. Hope to put that one next week.

Future plans are AGX and Eibachs, 18" Moda MD6's, a complete GMPP handling kit, 12" GXP rear brakes, 12" Monte brakes up front, install heat extractors on hood, GPO grills and and SD air dam, along with doing some under hood detailing.

Actually, and I'm not sure how this would look, I want red as the accent color, so I was thinking something along the way of a black cherry color, looks black, but has a cherry tint to it...

Ahh, that'd looks good if you got it in a nice metallic color, make it pop a little more. I say go for it, nothing to lose really except a little money and time.

I dont know, but man i wish my car was a different color, lighter colors really make that spoiler look good.

Worked on the car a little bit last night into this morning. Had all the pieces to put on the exhaust so decided now was as good as any. Just went with a Walker replacement system and Magnaflow tips.

    Old exhaust out.

New system ready to be put on.

And done. One of these days I'll get the tips straight.
