Alright, this is my 98 Daytona i picked up a few weeks ago, paid 2800$ for the car and a storage unit full of parts, engines
And transmissions.. Car had a well built motor in it with two fist size holes thru the block( ironically blew out both knock sensors and were no longer a part of the car at that point) lol. The moment I got it home, I started tearing it apart and within 3 days of purchase, I pulled it out of my garage at home and started tuning.. this is my second gtp, but my first one I've went this far with. My black 99 is mostly stock with headers, s1x cam and 3.4 pulley. I've come to love these cars over the last 2 years. I can promise you I will always own a gtp

Engine I pulled from the car when I bought it. I'm hoping I can salvage the XP cam in there for a future project.

Yeah it did, the rear one was totally gone and the front had part of the plug missing and the harness was ripped apart

Main reason I bought this car is the fact that it's a 100% rust free southern Tennessee car and it's been only summer driven and garaged it's entire 2 owner life. This Trend will continue with me as well. The brake lines and fuel lines are still the silver color they were 20 years ago when built. The previous owner also installed new old stock carpet(still has the sticker mats on it!) And new old stock dash and headliner, seats are newer but still mint and always well conditioned, as you can see. I also have a brand new OEM shifter to install as well. I got this car for a steal. The drivetrain alone with all the mods were worth the price I paid for everything.

It's optional, I have stock push rods and lifters in my 99, and I have comp lifters and push rods in my 98, both cars have the xp cam and 105 springs. Zzp says its fine to run stock stuff with the cam, they just recommend the timing chain and springs.

Is the core still in good shape? No leaks? What were you running it on and why did you decide to get rid of it? Yes that sounds like a deal. What happened to the heat exchanger?
