They both measured 15mm on the middle coil. I'd say the springs settled just a tiny bit :th_sick1:

Think I'm replacing that Portuguese mount I got off ebay. One should be here in a couple days.
It wasn't as easy as I thought lining up the spring. Had to take the top nut loose again before I let off the compressors, but I got it.
Here's a fancy new FE3 strut assembly. Looks like a strut, so that's probably good.

How much did you pay for the FE3 struts? I know you snagged one for 45, how much for the other?
I just bought from Scoggin Dickey for 154 shipped.
I bought the Ac Delco professional mounts 901-039 from CarID for 54 shipped.
My 40,000, 4 year old FE3s were clunky from being on SSCs.
Speaking of those SSCs, they are funkin rusty as hell. I wish they would warranty them.
I will take pictures when I replace the struts, you gotta see this.
The 2004 CompG stock GMs still looked great when I took them off 6 years ago.

The other front was 91 shipped from..well, the label says it came direct from GM.
I ordered it thru Rockauto. Think they're cheaper by like 5 bucks now.

I actually just ordered another 901-039 today to replace the replacement sent from Amazon. The "kit" I bought showed up with just a bearing in the box, lol. Think I paid a little more from RA for that tho.
Most the old stuff I threw away already. So much rust.
This is gonna be interesting to see how the back sits till that parts done

I did the other side strut first, then control arm. Wasn't the easiest getting the ball joint to line back up.

We talked about doing the rear this year yet. Going to let the springs settle for a few weeks and decide.
I lost a little sidewall and went with 50 vs 55 ratio. The first set of these tires rubbed. Probably because the old springs.

I haven't bedded in the Scorched pads from R1; Those Brembo's wore pretty quick. They weren't gone but almost out of the chamfer cut and nearing the squealer tab. O'reilly turned the drilled and slotted fronts, just takes them a bit longer.
Been anxious to go around some corners! I think overall, us and the car will be very happy.

Ones on 04+ are separated with a yellow bulb top and the fog on the bottom :)

Moving to Texas! She knows a family out there the dad just retired from painting cars. The kid's gonna take over. Probably go see them in the next year or two. That Texas sun isn't gonna be too nice to the failing paint, lol

Before that, I had a turrible creaking when accelerating and stopping. Took care of these.
The trans mount actually still looked ok, but since I had to be under there anyway..

It ended up being from putting the diagonal braces on with the twisting force of a child. I used man-arms and a ratchet. It went away.
Remember that like seventeen dollar score I got with the AP Exhaust 403011S resonator? Yeah well that went bad already. Maybe I'll put a pic of the inside, but it started falling in. Lol

I replaced it with a different cheap muffler that was twice as expensive, the Patriot "Smithy" H3015. It's only 3.5" diameter and was a touch longer, but it fit probably better than the other one. Got rid of the stupid leak near the forward clamp also.
It says hammertone, but it's gotta be the strangest aqua colored hammertone I've ever seen ..and its an ultra thin coating. :th_laugh-lol2:

I have a boost leak somewhere I'm lookin at. The bbv off the other supercharger I put on was bad. Tried my old one, but still only getting like 7.5 lbs on Torque. Gonna try unhooking the armature/actuator, zip tie it and go for a run. New vacuum harness on the way.
There's a couple more pics I'll put up later. The springs settled and it looks nice ..or stock, whatever. Lol

Then I bought some ZZP 10.5mm wires. I'd ordered some "Smoothie" wire separators that were an off blue. So $25 more dollars later, I ordered Taylor 10.4mm looms in blue.
Definitely excited, until they don't fit..

Somehow managed to pop the plastic rivets changing the solenoids. (yeah I know, carelessness) JB welded it. Noticed the brackets were a little different.

I had a silly spliced line on my bypass solenoid for a short time. That hose is no longer available anywhere but the junkyard.
