Thank you for the block heater pics, its appreciated. FYI this is what I used on my daughters 2000 GTP, it fit perfect for that car. Price went up some since last year, it was under 50 bucks then.

The car still needs a resonator, but that might be it for the summer. I'd really like to get at the rear suspension, still ..but I don't think there will be time/money.

(**lots of swear words and ranting**)

That sums it up. Might explain why I'm so pissy lately. I do apologize. Enough about that.

    Thanks.

Made a little vid yesterday while out for fun. There's a few out of the way areas nearby. I tapped the brakes once there at the end (pedestrian). Those R1's sure grab nice!

    Roads a lil bumpy, lol.

(Edit: Got the video to embed.)

Finally got tired of the boost gauge down in the storage bin. Noticed the vents were same size, so I put it in the chrome piece.

(Yeah, yeah.. I know it's dirty. Lol)

Also ordered a resonator. Went with the AP Enforcer, big one #403011S. I'll let ya know how that goes soon.

Resonator arrived today, clamps yesterday. I knew it was a big muffler, but damn ..it's huge. Hopefully, don't take much to finagle it in there. Lol

So, I'm finally coming back to this because I'm bored. Did you go turbo? I might just swap that GenV on and redo the one from my 05.

I plan to head out to a pick and pull here in a couple weeks. Need a DIC button and a couple other things. I'll be looking for something to make a mount out of. Ideas are welcome.

Maybe I'll find some GP treasures too, never know.

Ordered blue BA9S bulbs thinking I would swap out red on the boost gauge. Drove it after I ordered and realized I made a mistake.

Too late to cancel - (and yes, the right bulb is crooked)

At first I was like, moar blue things!

Then I was like, Whoa.. stealth mode.

Blue seems a little bad for the night vision, huh? Gonna leave it for now.

    I fixed the resonator today.

Waited for the flange. Got a couple bolts that matched up.

Trimmed the ears, cut the flange shorter and still had to convince it to go in.

The AP Enforcer 403011S is a near OEM fit. It was almost uncanny.

    Installed.

Used red loctite, but may still put a nut on there.

I thought about putting this in the "wrong" way. The flow direction changes in this particular pipe midway, so either end looks like this.

    The old one.

It's mellowed out to just a little more rumble than stock. Tone might get a little richer with some wear, time will tell. My car also lost a noticeable amount of drone on the freeway. I'd recommend.

    I picked the resonator from a list I made here - http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...91#post1470191

All the pics are moved to google and should be viewable. Here's a couple from the Metallica show I found re-doing it.

Saw Robert Trujillo before the show.

Sat down to eat during the end of Sevenfold. We'd been there since like 4pm. The stadium's huge inside.

    Helluva show. Can't believe it's almost been a year already. - https://www.metallica.com/tour/18991

Around 20k on these 104's. I went 605's this time (yes, they are not iridium). Old Grumpy seems less so.

Random pic walking toward it yesterday.

They don't look that terrible to me.

Only gotta change 'em once a year, they said.
It's not that bad, they said.

I should try and be more careful. Lol

That's all you got from changing plugs?

I must be severely accident prone, cuz I'll get that just from checking the fluids. Lol

And this is why I still don't think these engines care about plug temp ranges anymore.

After running 104's in a basically stock car; then tossing in 103's with ethanol...they always looked great.

I changed the air filter after something like 15 thousand miles. The cone was the original that came with Best Car Part's intake (ebay).

I chose Injen's X1021BB, which happens to be blue and also Made in USA. Says something about 100,000 durablility, but we'll see. (I didn't buy it here, but this is a detailed description - https://www.carid.com/injen/web-nano...x-1021-bb.html)

Design that'll never be seen, lol.

Actually sits pretty close to the headlight.

I put some weatherstrip on the PCM connectors to protect it and the new filter. That bracket I made for the intake is a bit too long. Need to trim it up.

    Hmm, yes. (Stewie Griffin style)

Inside of the pipe and filter. I'm actually keeping the filter in case of something unforeseen. It's just a dirt cheap filter from ebay. Did just fine.

    Alright then. Thanks

Uploaded an exhaust video after the new resonator. Old Walkers got like 155k on em.

It'll make the same snapping sound (1st rev) if I run it up to 28mph and cut throttle. Believe that's from the waste spark system, and I try not to do it often.

I dunno, see alot on fb of just the idle with no exhaust. Here's what mine sounds like with mufflers and all.

It sounds nice if I gotta leave it running, imo.

Tried to edit this into the above post. Only 1 vid per reply

Nothing much new. Moving over the span of September, overlapping leases. Actually been savin up for another car. Looks like 2k gets a guy a decent GP these days.

Switched to a larger filter. WIX 51036. Again, for whatever reason, Grumpy did not like. Always gives me the business after any little change the first couple startups. I swear it's more OCD than me.

It fit in there, so my motor mounts aren't completely gone ..yet.

My phone hates me sometimes, but you can see the number at least.

Probably gonna rotate the tires before I get it ready to put away. The resonator I used has worn in for a more throaty sound. I mean, it's cheap and will need replacement obviously, but the drone stays away. It gets pretty loud at WOT, lol

That's about it then. Later on.

Been busy. I decided to do all the little things while doing the LIMs, so it's been a project.

I'm honestly glad I can come back here among the sane. So, so many come on social media asking for cheap power. Sadly, sometimes the outcomes are predictable and bad.

I hope they get 'em running again soon!

Well, I stuck with the plan, so it's been maintenance time! $300 bucks, zero more horsepower and I give no sh*ts. My trans still isn't rebuilt and still I don't own a tuner. Just waiting on pintle caps, that's it.

Here's what I been up to. Got these nasty things out -

Very, very tediously and carefully cleaned the heads.

I honestly had trouble finding a decent gasket scraper local. I ended up using a 1/4" shaft blade holder, some plastic and razor blades, and a short handle from Harbor Freight. Worked out good.

I have polished valve covers from ZZP, but I'm waiting to do something different or special to them. So I cleaned these up with Purple Power and put new gaskets. Noticed a small chip in the channel (pictured), but still gonna send it.

(yeah, sry I know I got my toes in there. lol)

My Fisher Price injectors looked like poo on a sidewalk, so I cleaned them. I might put new screens in since they come with the replacement pintle caps anyway. Never done that before, so we'll see.

A local mechanic actually said I could keep that test box after I used it. Who says there aren't good people still?

(1:26 vid showing what I did - Fuel Injector Cleaning with OTC Electronic Fuel Injector Tester - YouTube)

Decided to flush out the power steering since I put a new pump on. Wish I had a before and after of that nasty thing. Yuck! Lol

This isn't even all the fluid I pushed through -

I did wipe the threads, but there are AL 605's after 14-15K. Haven't had a problem with copper so far. Trying NGK 4177's this season.

I went with the AC Delco "Professional" water pump from RockAuto. It came with a paper gasket, so I ordered a metal one. Obviously, the right one is OEM with stamped impeller(term?).

Even got new bolts. Dorman sells them. They were a little tricky to find, iirc. (sry the pics a bit fuzzy)

I went and found the actual AC Delco part numbers for the alternator bracket o-rings. Factory original o-rings for the heater core hoses are brown, as are the AC Delco's. The ones from the Felpro LIM kit are orange. The OEM elbow o-rings are all orange. Aluminum replacements come with one black one on the large end.

I decided to run my supercharger again but with a metal gasket, both on the right. The other one I bought off a Texas car, so the heat ya know. That one I like the snout bolts on better cus they're hex head. Mine are torx and one's almost stripped from the factory. I'll take apart Javi's and decide what to do to the case to dress it up later.

I ordered these way back this winter to keep me motivated, lol.

That's it then. Snail mail is bringing the pintle caps, then hopefully I can top off the rad and fire it up! Till next time
