Re: Kaizerz Karz - '04: Road to Recovery
Besides the weird dislike of year-proper MAFs the GTP been running good, just need to get a gauge cluster with close mileage.
Worked on the '04 today, bloody cold outside with the wind hollowing. Got it in the shop and used a block of wood, some chains, chain binders, hammers, right angle grinder, and the wire feed and got it pretty good. Started to clean up the repair area and rust around the rad support and battery tray, got some of it primed, should get it painted and done within the next few days. Also, gotta figure out how the rest of the intake box comes out. Then, to find some color-matched parts... happy the hood latch on the 6th and 7th gens are the same, had one of those.

If you can still say that when its properly aligned and has headlights aimed and has been legally daily driven a couple weeks with no issues, its a win if you can still profit. People don't care about much except how perfect the paint is lol.

This is true, also true - and for a MN 205kish mileage vehicle the paint it really great overall. Also, further inspection looks like she got new front struts within the last couple hundred miles, win!

Re: Kaizerz Karz - '04: Road to Recovery
Well, hopped around Minnesota from 7 till 7:30.... Three stops and $400 later and I got a bumper, bumper foam, hood, header panel, both headlights, right fender in black, SPO tips (me and the kid spent almost an hour and a half taking these dumb things off), SPO spoiler in black, engine cover, metal pull tab things for behind the headlights, engine braces, and rear cup holder. Have to bondo some dents out of the hood - then the bumper and hood will need to be painted. Overall very happy with the amount I got into it. Need to get some nickel SPO grills for cheap now, lol.

Re: Kaizerz Karz - '04: Road to Recovery
Good luck finding nickel ones cheap lol, I had a hell of a time just finding black ones. I reeeeeeally want some SPO tips, though! I'm gonna have to get a pair when I run my new exhaust
Re: Kaizerz Karz - '04: Road to Recovery
There's so much better lookkng tips out there then the spo's
Re: Kaizerz Karz - '04: Road to Recovery
I love how they look like they belong there though. I don't want anything big or anything that stands out too much. That's the reason I'll never get an Inferno hood or lower it too much lol

Yeah, no kidding, lol. Might end up just getting a black set.

Agreed, it being N/A I don't want anything flashy - sorta was going for the fully loaded GT2 OEM-look. If it was S/C I'd probably want something bigger like my '99 has though.

Haha, it's my first "real" tool set. Don't like how all the deep tickets are 1/4" drive :/. I have to get a 3/8 to 1/4" drive extension thing.
