Just bought a 98 GTP back in may this year for $600 R/D. Has almost all the common problems you can think of.. ive taken car of most of them to date.. A couple questions, where is the best place to get the window motors as mine are slow. also my oil pan leaks like crazy, whats the best way to tackle that?

Hello and welcome. Oil pan job means lowering the frame or lifting the engine, you pick. I have not done one but need to. Theres probably a write-up here if you search for it. Or pick up a repair manual such as Chilton's, it will solve many mysteries as you go. Normally most people replace window regulator assemblies as a unit because if the motor runs slow that means both motor and regulator are aging. The slow motors can continue to work a long time, but might just pick a day and die. As far as where to get them... I'm not a web coupon hound so for the best price you'll have to shop. I've not found local parts store pricing to be unreasonable on window regulators but to each his own. Enjoy your low-buck score!

Welcome to GPF. Best place to get a window regulator is EBAY. They cost about $38 free shipping VS parts house that wants $90+.

As for the oil pan, there are write ups in the how-to section. Mainly have to unbolt the right lower engine mount, lift up the motor, remove engine mount and all the bolts are accessible from there. The pain is getting to the pan, after that its cake.

Hope those 04+ Needles are still doing good.

Get that Members Ride thread going and post up some pics. Use a photo hosting site for your pics. There is a write up on how to do that also.

Hey fellas sorry its been so long since ive posted been real busy with life, car, and everything else that goes with it lol. Where do i even start with an update????

I'll start with this: Ive been trying to diagnose a boost problem, and ill probably make another thread specific to the problem, one day i stepped on the throttle and was very displeased to not be thrown back in my seat and to see only about 2-3 legos on my boost gauge WHAT THE HECK! Well after messing with the boost bypass valve, carb cleaner trick, and various other things like ppl telling me its DEFIANTLY your blower bro... even though it spun up nicely and everything. it was that pesky $25 boost solenoid next to the BBV. I guess its there to limit boost in park, reverse and WHENEVER it feels like lol. It took all of 2 seconds to TEAR the F'r out and solve 4 weeks of trial and error. at least its fixed.

Next is my EBCM ive narrowed it down to needing a new one, i thought that maybe i fixed it by getting new hubs but after i got those in i had one code left, P1571 traction control system desired torque circut. Interesting indeed, it wasnt very frequent but now the ABS and TCC lights are on almost always.

I have had about 4 people offer me cash for my car in the last week... no thanks
no rust is an eye catcher i guess?
just did all new rotors/brakes/and calipers+ painted them
and shined up factory exhaust tips
    looks SEXY!

I did find myself some window motors on ebay so thanks for the help there guys.

    Just installed a sound system!

Ill be posting regularly due to work finally slowing down.

Thank you. I bought the car with the tcc and abs light on with the whole walk around the park issues.. Speedo drops to 0 in N, and cruise not working and everything else. I messed around with it a day or 2 ago and got the lights off and everything worked for a day, now it's back to not working and pulled that desired torque circuit code.
