Hello all. New to the forum! glad to see a ton of people still on here. I was on NAIOA for impala forums for about 7 years. Picked up this GTP from my dad, who in 11 years of owning it only put 18k miles on it. He's got too many rigs lol. Anyways not a whole lot done to it, (YET ) Not a fan of the rims, but w.e, came with every option except for BOSE but not like it would of stuck around anyways. Kappas all around! has 107K now, need to put the plate delete back on and use a wash but it's been overcast last few days in Seattle, go figure huh! Looking forward to learning more about these cars, I've only had a few NA 3.8 but a lot of W Body in the family! Impala has 210K still rolling...

Yup, those rims ruin the whole car.

Winter is coming up, I'd like to get a down pipe n plog, too many exhaust options I haven't narrowed down yet,I have a 3.4 pulley alrdy but know I need other things before I put it in, then just some visual mods led tails, slp spoiler n some tips. Only issue is cruise isn't lightning up or working.

do you have an abs light on ? cruise control will not work if you have an abs issue.

Hmm... mine isn't that way. Cruise works perfectly with ABS light on in a 99.

I've seen worse wheel choices. Thats a pretty nice looking ride!

Theres nothing that lights up when cruise is on. I had to get the owner's manual out for quite a few things when I started driving an FWD GP. Welcome aboard, by the way!

I'd double check for power to the CC box, check the 3rd bakes lights as they can't be burnt out. I think they have a brake light switch, that could stop it from working aswell too.

Yeah I checked all the lights in rear reverse was out so I replaced both sides. Still no cruise. Won't even show on dash when I try to set it. Where's the Cc box located? Also no I had the ebcm rebuilt from module masters.

It isn't supposed to! Theres no indicator lamp for cruise. Cruise works regardless of TCS or ABS. ABS is unplugged on mine but cruise works.

Hmmm. That's odd. I have no idea what's wrong with it. Don't really want to pay dealer for diagnostic either....

when i had abs / TC issues my cruise control didn't work . i did nothing to try to fix it. i fixed my abs / tc issues (bad ecbm ,both front speed sensor harnesses ) and my cruise control immediately started working.

All my speed sensors n hubs were good, haven't had an issue with the rebuilt ebcm and cruise stopped working when the module went bad. Checked fuse in glove box it was fine, so I might have to go to dealer for it, I can't find anything on the site on where it connects to under the hood, my dad did the valve gaskets in the rear before I bought it.

that's what i'm saying. when i bought my car the cruise didn't work and the abs / TC lights were on. scanners wouldn't give me any info about the abs. i replaced the ecbm and scanned again and it reported left and right speed sensors. replaced both harnesses , cleared the codes , lights went out and cruise control started working. i don't know exactly what fixed it , but i assumed it had to be connected to one of those replaced parts .
