Link on top of new subscriber page is wrong, tells me to post since new, click link page not found...
Tried clicking a few links from posts I found researching mods on web, page not found.
If there has been a recent upgrade to your forums, might need some redirects...

Anyhow picked up an 05 base for 1700 for work vehicle, tired of slamming the road with my 01 Cougar ZN, I swear you can feel an ant you ran over, the ride after sway bar swap on this 05 is amazing in comparison, put a 33mm front bar that attaches to control arm instead of struts.
I swore I needed new struts until I swapped out these bars, those hollow tubed bars need to be the first thing swapped out on these rides.

I hear that plate on top of front struts is another slop point, and they sell a plate without the slack in it, anyone run those plates to tighten her up?

Anyhow, might consider some engine mods as long as I don't lose any MPG, and work out what I think is some issue with transmission, has a rough shift like a bad mount after you run her for a few hours, not all the time, swapped out all the mounts, sadly wasn't the issue.

Never drove a car with electronic throttle, perhaps it is sending a signal that I pressed pedal too hard and a downshift or loss of lock-up occurred, haven't looked into it yet.

Swapped out all fluids, all filters, found out we don't get to change out the fuel, all wheel bearings, lower control arms and the sway bars.
Then since high miles water pump, idler pulley, thermostat and antifreeze.

Had to make sure road worthy as I put sometimes 500 miles a day on my car for work, field engineer, if they pay, I go...

Will research my issues and post in appropriate areas when I need help.

Mechanic since the age of 6, tore apart the family lawn mower and put it back together, what they get for giving me an erector set at 3...

Yeah, they updated the forum a year or so ago and broke/removed some things.
Not sure on the strut mounts, but new ones aren't too much.
You might be able to fix those issues with a shift kit, someone with more trans could chime in and tell me I'm wrong I'm sure lol

I'd recommend a trans go shift kit for sure, it will help the trans if it's not already too far gone.

Wouldnt hurt the clean the MAF sensor and remove the throttle body and clean that too, yo'd be suprised how black it will be from the EGR soot.

All grand prixs ran the same transmision anyway, 4T65e from 1998-2008. Only 1997 had the 4T60e in the N/A cars.

Just some have a different final drive gear ratio and a HD diff.
