ok im not exactly "new" ..... I've been reading this forum for several months now while I restore a 99 GT, progress so far is complete top end replacement (Dorman upper, lower gasket, alum. elbows, water pump, plugs, wires, belt, valve cover gaskets ), car was stripped, currently in primer, new rockers, repaired strut towers, new fuel lines, brake lines .... just ordered a Basix Standard V6 Trans. from TEP (thanks Dave), along with new LCA's, Steering rack, wheel bearings, half shafts, motor/trans. mounts, sub frame bushings, tie rods, Dorman front sway bar kit ..... once the front is done the rear is next, then paint, and last I will mount my 18"x8.5" 45 offset, polished Mustang bullitts with Fusion 245-45-18's (and by the way, the backs will clear the stock trailing arms by 3/16", the front needs a 5mm spacer) .... now that we have established that I am serious ..... my question is simple, yet I have not found a DEFINATE ANSWER, I am going with KYB Excel G struts / Vogtland springs, I have already purchased a set of Vinnie's spacers (thanks) BUT, everyone has a different opinion on how to use these .... put them on top, on bottom, use a "half set" a "full set", "don't use them at all" .... I can only assume that if Vinnie took the time to make these he must know something....and ive determined i will not shorten the dog bones (just doesn't make sense to me) this will be a casual driver, not a speed demon, or twisty turns anymore, just want a good reliable setup. i know this subject gets talked to death on here, but im hoping the "regulars" chime in
now for the suck-up part ....... I will say there is a wealth of info on here, my latest find was the thread about the MOOG problem solver LCA bushings (which i just received today from Rock Auto) .... i defiantly appreciate all the time you guys put into this. Im hoping to have this ride done by the first of June to take on Vacation, and i plan on posting a thread of it start to finish, and possibly INSPIRE another knucklehead to marry one of these things and start throwing all their hard earned $$$ into it !! these W-Bodys are worse than a good woman ..... Thanks

and just for the record, i bought this car from original owner, 150,000 miles, clean leather interior, well maintained, it sat in her driveway in front of my house for 3 years ... my estimate when finished is $6000
