    is it bad for the tranny to use gear selection 1 2 3. if i use it should i let off the gas when shifting or can i just keep my foot on the gas when shifting up in gears?

    It's an auto, put it in D, and drive.

    Do not let up on the throttle when moving the shifter from one gear selection to another, unless you are downshifting, then take your foot off the accelerator altogether. Being that it is an automatic, it is better to just leave it in "D", or "OD".
