i have a 2001 grand prix gt and when i accelerate from a slow speed, you can hear a whining noise. the second i let my foot off the gas, the noise goes away. what is it? also if i floor my car the car shifts rough at 4000+ rpm. it doesn't do it every time, about half. is my transmission going bad. what parts are wrong with it?

the fluid is just under the third circle on the dip stick so its good on fluid. what else could it be. car only has 120,500 miles on it

it should be at the top hole, read the stick, it says hot and cold. both have a line.

you sure the power steering pumps not low on fluid. it will also whine when low on fluid.

if it whines from the driver side of the car, thats the trans pump. not good either.
