The previous owners of my 01 GTP kept the car in terrible condition and my rocker panels are completely rusted through. I discovered this when I set my jack stands up and they shot through when I let the jack down. I have purchased the replacements but don't know the first thing about welding. Where would I go to have someone install it for me? Should I be looking into body shops or a specific type of shop?

Body shops (collision repair facilities) have the equipment for the job and the cutting and welding is familiar to them. However, nicer shops that try to stick to insurance work on late models may turn up their noses at all the rust and try to run you off with a high estimate. Find a shop that does rust repair often and will stand behind their workmanship. Buying the parts ahead of time might help or hurt you. Because the shop usually gets some mark-up on the price. That, plus the part you got may not be the one they would prefer to use. If you don't find an eager body shop, try an auto restoration shop because rust is something they may be more familiar with than a crash shop.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.
