Noob to the Gp

Whats up all. Eric here from the Fl with a 2008 Pontiac grand Prix. Its just the base model and all ive added so far is a K&N air filter. I try and do all the work myself so ill be spending alot of time browsing these forums for help and know how. First step is trying to find the easiest way to get that spark plug out thats hidden behind everything in the back. Owned the car since new and now it has 103,000 miles. Looking forward chatting with all of you.

rear plugs are easy. remove them two dog bones from the engine, with a ratchet strap pull the engine forward, this will let you see and have about 3 or 4 inches more to work with.

the one rear plug is sorta blocked by the o2 sensor. i put the socket on the plug first, then use a 3 inch and a ratchet and just stick the tip of the extension in the socket, and break it free.

if your using a real spark plug socket, (recommended, its got a foam insert) it has a bolt head on it, you can use a wrench on the socket as well if you like.

im tall. and have large hands, i get back there easy enough, car ramps make it easier on my back. i do all three plugs from the pass side fender too. you can see better, and the angle of the plugs is easier to work on from the pass side. ( at least for me)

being n/a engine, use one of the pull brackets, or the dog bone mount to hook to, then to the rad support some where safe looking, then strap the engine forward.
