2001 gt 3.8 n/a. I found a plug right behind the alternator that leads no where. It actually looks like the kind of harness plug that plugs into the injectors. But all the injectors have their plugs? What can this be for?

Cali emissions.
Just about every harness has that plug in, but if you don't have a cali emission car, you don't need it.
