I'm looking for someone in or around western ma that has a legitimate code scanner to help me solve an issue with the code P0053 - HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 1. I purchased an overkill tune and installed it last saturday. Car runs nice but I lost cruise control and on tuesday the engine light came on with these two codes, P0053 - HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 1 & P0564 - Cruise Control Switch Circuit Malfunction. I've erased the codes and the light doesn't come back on but the ****ty scanner shows the codes pending. If I remote start the vehicle, The engine light will come back on. I've read on the forum that some people lose cruise control when they get an overkill and the pcm is sent back to Will to fix. I've contacted him but no response yet. I've checked the fuses and wiring for both these issues and they are ok. I've looked at schematics on alldata to see if the O2 sensor and the CC switch are sharing the same wiring but it doesn't look like it. I honeslty believe both these issues are due to the PCM but I would like some help verifying this before I contact Will again.

put stock pcm back in to confirm..........

p0053 sets when the pcm detects that the H02S1 heater calculated resistance is not within an expected range at engine startup for more then 1 second. Check the H02S1 circuits: high signal, low reference, heater voltage supply, heater low control. Possible failure area in the H02S1 or pcm.

P0564 sets when the ecm/pcm detects an invalid voltage signal on the cruise control set/coast and resume/accelerate switch signal circuit for greater then 1.5 seconds. Check for poor connections at the cruise control switch and ecm/pcm. Check for high resistance in the ignition 1 voltage circuit. Check for high resistance , short to voltage or ground on the cruise control set/coast and resume/accelerate switch signal circuit, located in these three areas: C277, cruise control switch, and ecm/pcm. If all circuits are ok then suspect cruise control switch or ecm/pcm
