I saw a link to where people were rewiring the tcs control to where it turns off automatically every time you start your car? Is there a benefit to this/why would I do this?

    No benefit what so ever.

You want it off, just hit the button. I only shut it off if I see heavy snow and traction control is being a mother and I can't move.
