So I guess during the design phase they Bosched things up?
I know, bad joke.
Now regarding seafoam, that is definitely first on the list, obviously before new plugs. Is this a two person job? I've seen videos and usually someone is revving the engine while another is pouring it in the throttle body. Is there sure way to do this without locking things up? I also read differences as far as what lines to have it delivered.
it it easier with 2 people but DO NOT dump the whole can in. Some people do that and **** their **** up and some people are fine. Not worth it. only do 1/3 of the can and put it into the brake booster vac line.
I read that some people heard horror stories regarding using seafoam in the oil. Should I skip that part completely? My car is high mileage, 170k.
There are only two types of people. There are idiots, and then there are the ones that are good at hiding the fact that they are idiots.
pass on the oil part. use 1/3 in the gas tank then suck up 1/3 through a vac line. save the last 1/3 for a fuel treatment down the road.
Should I spray and in the throttle or does the vac line take care of that?

you can take the brake booster vac line off the brake booster, pinch it to keep the car running, while pouring the sea foam into the vac line. this is the fat hose that runs to the fat round brake booster.
either dump the last little bit in to stall the engine or shut it off when the 1/3 of a can is ingested. wait 20 minutes and let the smoke show begin.
the TB your best to take it off and clean it. seafoam wont really clean that.
Simple easy mods
Diy intake. Plog from zzp, bigger downpipe, hv3 insert from zzp,and rockers if you want to keep spending, and a overkill tune to finish it up.
Since you don't want to top swap I'd recommend you get an HV3 insert, 2.5" downpipe because with a 3" you tend to lose some of your low end torque since it's an N/A, look at a PLOG, maybe rockers or a cam and then get a tune from wherever you find to be best.
I thought plogs were useless on n/a?
One more thing regarding seafoam before I start doing it. Everyone seems to say 1/3 in the gas tank. The directions say one whole can or 1 oz per gallon. The car has 17 gallons. Should I listen to what everyone else says or what? Also as of right now I have a full tank, should I drive some of it off or go ahead and put it in?

Doesnt really matter.
Go to your profile and make this your sig, instead of typing it out every post.Quote:

It is my sig. I'm using tapatalk so that might be the problem

The directions on the can are for using it as a fuel treatment. I prefer to put 2/3 in my tank then the 1/3 in the brake booster.

Don't put it in your brake booster if your supercharged.
Its harsh on the rotor coating
Use the vac port under the sc snout
Edit: I'm. Dumb and I don't read op is na
There is a lot of debate over whether or not the coating on the rotors even affects anything

I just saw a video on YouTube posted by O'Reiley auto about seafoam. They demonstrated using the spray in the throttle body. Should I do that or is it too risky to do on my car.
it cant hurt, if your maf is in the tb remove it first.
ive used that on small engines, works just as good as the bottle.
