I own an 2001 Grand Prix GT. I'm the second owner. I bought it off a used car lot in East Baltimore in 02, she had 26k on her then. She has 98k original on her now. She was a Hertz rental which is the reason for the 1st year mileage hike. She's loaded, leather, power moon roof, power seat and mirrors, CD with the EQ and the tweeters on the A pillar post. She has the 3.8 Series II Stock.

She has been well kept, no tears in the grey leather, only a burn in the drivers bucket that was there when I bought it, very small. I didn't complain about it then and I don't think anyone else would either now. No one has ever smoked in my car as long as I have owned her. The carpet is in great shape and I have the original floor mats in it and the owners manual in the glove box.

This year I replaced the outer tie rods and the hub bearing on both front wheels. I just changed her plugs and wires for the first time along with the serpentine belt for the second time, coils are firing good still. She also has new Michelin Primacy tires on the original premium alloy rims. I did her brakes with new rotors last year and replaced the front sway bar. Oh yeah, just did the CAT too, was clogged and bogging her down bad, not anymore. She moves right along yet still goes 30mpg at 65 with the cruise on and 31 at 60 or keeping the tach at 1800. I also just bought 2 new headlights, the adjusters are froze in the old ones and they are oxidized as well.

She is all original accept the rear speakers, one blew and I replaced both with Infinity Capa's I got for $5 at a yard sale. They should be replaced with Pioneer 6965's, they are more efficient then the Capa's and will sound closer to stock. I guess I could try the dealer for stock speakers but I'm not paying the dealer price for stock speakers so if I change them at all it will be with the Pioneers but I can live with what I have. There's no rust anywhere not even the exhaust which is also original. Also no rust on the rear strut towers!

The only flaw is I have not had a garage to keep her in so her paint is weathered and has highway nicks on it, same with the windshield, highway ticks all over it. She could really use a nice coat of paint, painting is just not something I can do myself. She is Navy Blue. Insurance will fix the windshield once it has a rock fly up and hit it dead center off the highway this spring.

This has been a great car for me, still is. I am thinking about selling her though. Living in new England the winters up here are forcing me to make a car change and I need something I can put my plow on, having two 150 foot driveways demand a plow during winters up here. I currently have a plow on a 93 jeep Cherokee that barely gets the job done. The car is old and needs to retire to the world of parts for people that might want them. She too is in not bad shape, had 127k when I bought her in MD in 02 and has 138k on her now. She has some rust running own the right side front to back above the rockers but surprisingly not the rockers. I'm not putting any more money in that old war horse. I'm going to sell both and put the funds toward something I can put my plow on, maybe a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited or a 4 door 4x4 Tacoma. Maybe that new aluminum F-150, that thing sounds sweet if it can get out of its own way.

That's about it for me other than I'm 52 now living near Boston MA. If any y'all are interested in my GPGT shoot me a PM, I know what she's worth so don't insult my intelligence if you do and I wont insult yours by asking some outrageous figure.

    Nice meeting y'all

    Joe
