used is always a risk, but if the seller says its a working trans it should be working, if not you know where he lives now lol
search around CL for part outs, a lot of the time the cars still whole and runs and drives, so at least you can warm it up and test it some. if you remove the used tranny yourself im sure the price will come down at a part out.
Yea it does look a bit dirty. Visually it looks worn. But I have the cash so I guess I will give it a shot. Should I check the fluid inside? What if its dark in color?

The regal is a gs right? It has 2.93 gears. Your gt has 3.29

the fluid in the tranny should be red to pinkish looking, if its dark or smells burnt run away.
stiff and look at a known working tranny dip stick before you go for a reference.
