Hi I read Blueguy's article "Safely Modding Your 3800" and I just wanted to clarify something. If I have an '02 GTP Series II SC and I bought headers will that include a downpipe or anything like that? The article also said if you buy headers you can skip out on downpipe and power log. Does that apply to the supercharged as well?

Headers include the downpipe and will holy on to your existing exhaust. Same thing applies rather it's n/a or sc in this case

So would you say a good place to start improving flow would be with headers and cat back exhaust?

    Headers yes

    Catback no.

Stock Catback is fine for flow until around 300-350hp then it starts to get restrictive. You will not reach that kind of power unless you mod w/ a cam and or IC. So at this point you'll just be doing it for sound..which is you want a different tone..cut the stock mufflers off and have whatever brand you like welded on.

if you get speed daddy headers. most common ones. you SHOULD replace the flex section they are known to leak. get a cat to weld in and get different band clamps
