My wife drove my car for the first time in a long time and used her key. when I drove it for the first time after her it cranked and got me to work but for the trip home it would not and had error message (not starting due to anti theft) so I turned the key a couple more times and it started. After I arrived home i tried it a few more times and no problem. I know about the key being programmed and communicating with the body control module etc but is there any way her key caused the memory to became disengaged and once I started it with my key it regained memory? Trying to decide if it is now ok or should I take it to a pro. Don't want to end up stranded.
