    1)Cold Air intake
    2)headers or plog/downpipe setup
    3)Hv3 Insert
    4)rockers/cam
    5)ported throttle/ bigger throttle body
    6)incar/dyno tune.

I'm getting a Base GT GP. Will those mods really make a difference and faster/quicker. or increase the 0-60
I'm asking because In my town a lot of people like the red light/green light take off's.

I've found a killer deal on a Grand Prix GT but I also found A GTP for $2500 more (GTP 2004 Loaded---Base GT 2006 loaded) Should I just get the Base and do those mods. OR just pocket out the extra cash to get the GTP. I'm on a budget so if I get the GTP. I won't be able to ad any mod's for a whilee and will be kinda broke. (High School student)

    Thank you

    Get the GTP

Modding a GT is a losing battle. Well, modding cars in general is a losing battle LOL

Wait, is the '06 a Base or a GT? If I'm not mistaken the '06 and up GT's are supercharged.

Typo, I was looking at three different ad's at the same time and got confused. I was looking at a 2005 GT,2004 GTP and a 2006 Base lol.
Yeah the GTP will probably save me a world of head ache, with the mods. Will the 2004 GTP insurance be touching the roof? Since it's "super charged"

It probably depends more on your location and age, but I got my car when I was 22 and it was ~$900 a year. Now I'm 26 and paying a little under $500.

I'm 17 living in Central Florida, I currently have a 1992 Saturn SL2 paying $50 a month haha. Top swap I've heard that has blown pistons and stuff. I don't really know what I'm talking about tho. How expensive is it to top swap.

50 a month? damn thats high. im 21 with a loaded 08 nissan paying 60 a month for full coverage. when i had my prix when i was 15-21 i was paying 40 a month.
a 98-03 gtp would be cheaper all the way around but is the 04 a comp-g?

Jeez that's low. Are you sure that is full coverage? Who do you have; sounds like some janky insurance lol. I'm 27 with a home policy as well and I'm paying about 75 a month for an 08 base GP.

Yeah that's true I found those years for cheap, But I like the interior of the 04+ better (Gay I know) The Pontiac GTP is just a normal GTP I believe. I found another 2004 GTP for $5000 here's the link if you think it's worth it. http://staugustine.craigslist.org/cto/4142254818.html

I like my loaded base. Has everything but a sunroof and a HUD. I get 32 mpg on the highway 27 combined right now. Still is fun to drive. And my insurance is 62 bucks a month for liability and I'm 19

Top swap won't blow anything if it's tuned right. It'll run you about $500 if you do it yourself

Just get the GTP and avoid the headache of a topswap. The labor and time it takes to source the parts isn't worth it unless you already had the GT and insurance shouldn't be much different between the 2.
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal
    04 Comp G.

Avoid the supercharger all together and go turbo.

How would I got about with the turbo? What are some other cars beside the G6 and GTP. That are similar to them. Around the same price range.

You'd have to buy a turbo kit and install it.

I've heard it's easy to blow up your engine with turbo and boosting.

Nope just if it's tuned wrong. Think of all the boosted factory cars.
