Turbo setups are just as easy, if not easier than topswaps.
New guy, You're posting more than you're reading. Do your own research.
Get the GTP.
@Explicit_Spade, Posting more than I'm reading? I posted one question. People reply on my thread, So therefore I respond with a question to a statement that was made? What's the point of people even commenting on my thread. If I'm just gonna be told to do my own research. I was originally asking what would be the better route to take get a base mod it or just get the GTP and be good with that. I'm not trying mooch information or I'm to lazy to search on my own just responding to people commenting on my thread.
But thanks everyone for the advice&opinions. No disrespect tho.
By saying you're posting more than you're reading, he's saying you should search the topics you're asking about. it's hard to see the search window - it's top center...look for the magnifying glass. Basically, he's telling you that anytime you're saying something about stuff you've heard (like turbo's will blow your engine), he wants you to search instead of asking.
As for the original question - the GTP will be faster with no modding (obviously), but will probably cost a bit more in insurance and gas (must run premium). Modding a naturally aspirated engine is kind of pointless. Basically, are you more concerned about your budget, or more concerned with dusting a civic from the light?
That clears it up thank you, Well a mixture of both. I found a good deal on a 2004 GTP for $5500 but it has a different engine. 6 cylinder 3.8 liter F1 Super Engine. I've googled and tried to find information about it but haven't really. Beside F1 means formula 1. should I turn my head to that one?
I've also found some good deals on 2006-2007 G6 GT V6 Coupes, I've searched around and read around guess it comes down to personal opinion which is better.
Um...where is the ad for the car with the "F1 Super Engine"?
Yeah..I've never heard of that engine from anywhere.....and I like to think I've heard of nearly everything 3800
The only 3.8 F1 engine I can find is the V8 McLaren...not thinking that was ever offered in a GP...lol

There's the ad.
Kinda suspicious that it has a "new" motor in it. It is just a regular comp g.
Wouldnt consider modding until you learn how to turn a wrench. Buy a gtp and learn about forced induction.
I can turn a wrench and use a screwdriver lol. But I see what your saying
Thanks!
Guys.. I've swapped a lot of motors and if anything it should increase value slightly. Say someone put regular in..beat it and killed a piston. New motor time. Lesson learned and now it's got less miles.
Bill - the big question here is what the hell kind of motor is it? The ad lists it as a 3.8 F1 super engine...what the hell is that??? lol
It's likely an L32 and the guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Hmm a used engine with a 3 yr warranty... Id defintely want to look into who put in the motor... Never heard of a warranty on a swapped motor.... Also if u just want to beat civics a typical GTP should have that covered.. If not a a thousand in mods n you should,be good...
