Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
I had to get in the most awkward position ever with a 6" extension swinging the air ratchet all the way around the alternator and sideways to finally get it.
Then the crossover went on with 0 problems.
Now for the rear plugs... Got one out. The other 2 (outsides) seemed to... Contort or bend.
Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
you've truly lost me, the egr bolt is no where near the alternator. carry on, at least you got what ever you wanted to get done done lol
Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
I had to swing the air house around the far side to get to that rear bolt, lol. #4
Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
Next time.. just lean over the motor with your 10mm deep on a normal sized 3/8" ratchet. Should be quick and easy on a stock manifold. Headers..well I find 1/4" with a swivel etc work best.
Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
PS.. Scott..he's talking the EGR to exhaust manifold bolt.
Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
Although..I am a bit cornfused as to why the rear manifold was off or the EGR wasn't bolted on when the engine was dropped into the cradle.
Re: Engine Reassembly (coolant question)
The rear manifold was never off, and the engine was never lifted. I'm doing all of this with the block in.
I'm getting there... Slowly, but... Unsurely.
