I'm putting my engine back together and I'm not sure where item number '346' plugs into.

346 looks like it cold be for the temp sensor under the t stat housing in the lim, theres another short 4 inch harness that plugs into the long harness then to the temp sensor.

    Scotty,

What you're referring to is the coolant temp sensor (the adapter/extension is a 3 pin). #346 is an 8 pin (2 x 4).

It was a good guess, I went and checked after I saw your post.

It's ECM (ignition coils), ?????, a ground (to ECM stud), cam position (knock) sensor, and a second coolant temp sensor.

there should be another fat harness that plugs into the plug along the lim i would think. trying to think back to my lim job.

maybe i got lucky, when i dropped the large harness over the engine all the plugs landed right were they lived, i even had 2 injector plugs that sat perfectly on their injectors, just need to make em click so to say lol

It's downpouring, windy, and cold out atm (Minnesota), otherwise I'd go look. ;-)

It might run up top, but that seems out of place considering where the rest of the Harness runs.

from this pic the coil harness looks to go into the lager harness and plugs in laying there on top of the lim.

That sounds right, some differences due to yours being SC, but I do believe that you are right.

    Thanks for your help Scotty!

I routed it the wrong way is why it seemed out of place.

The connector that was in question runs up to the LIM where it meets with the main wiring harness about 1/3 of the way towards the throttle body.

Ha. Throttle body, intake, a few connections, then yes.

Today I got the fuel, oil, and cooling systems restored.

    Maybe tomorrow.
