Hi, I am new here and could really use some good advice. For now I was wondering if anyone could help me. When accelerating the car surges and hesitates, feels like it might stall. Happens no matter what speed I am going. Not all the time but everyday. Took to the GM dealership last week they stated they could not fiqure out the problem because no check engine light was on. So they updated the computer with most current info. and cleaned out the air filter. I have had two torque converters replaced rebuilt engine. And much more. The miles are 120,000 had i have maintained the car to the book.
    Thanks, Angeleyes

a video would help in this case.

could be a vac leak, or bad coil, or tune up time, or icm, or bad crank sensor or its harness.

Has this exact problem occurred before? Who replaced the Torque Converters and rebuilt the engine? When was that work done and why?

id clean the maf, and check for a vac leak. if you have or know anyone with a scanner have them scan Idle air counts and if its under 40 at IDLE in park you have a vac leak

Pull a plug, if it's platium, double plat or anything Bosch, replace it with either a delco iridium or NGK etc. Anything but Bosch.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Well, it has been a couple of weeks. Took the car back to the dealership. The mechanic who has done work on my car a lot took a ride so that we could duplicate the problem. Immediately not even going up a hill going about 35mph the car starts surging and bucking for about 15 seconds. They kept the car a couple of days and could not duplicate the problem. They told me to call them when it breaks down because they cannot figure out what the problem is. I am thinking it is the transmission and they dont want to deal with it. They claim they have checked everything , and since their are not any engine codes they do not know why it is doing this. I am concerned because I do not want to experince what will happen when the transmission goes out or engine whatever the problem may be. Is there anyway for them to diagnose it? Symptoms that I have been experincing for about 2 months. In june the dealership said the transmission was going out and we both agreed to replace it with a new one. Well that didnt happen, they instead replaced a wire I do not know the exact part something to do with the transmission. After that is when i noticed that sometimes I felt a slight hesitating when accelerating up hill. Now it is 100 percent worse. Anyway I am done venting if anyone can give me some sort of idea what this problem could possibly be I appreciate it . THANKS
