I bought my Daytona GP in April. I did not know that there was documentation that should have been with the vehicle until I came upon this website.

My mechanic was at Daytona in 2000. He saw this vehicle there.

It is also rumored that Dale E took this particular vehicle out on the track the night before the race.

Can someone help me get the necessary paperwork, plaques, etc for my 2000 Daytona Grand Prix GTP supercharged, please? Email me at mariatwoeheart@gmail.com. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is a dealership, but I doubt even them will have anything for you.

The car really isnt special, its just going to have some decals, a different spoiler (which anyone can buy aftermarket) and the interior is a tad different. I can't remember how many were made, but its a couple thousand.

im pretty sure that they sold pace cars, that were never a real pace car for a race. they all look the same.

and unless Dale JR signed the car, it means nothing if he drove it.

check your door for a tag, it should have some kind of gmmg tag there if its real. www.daytonapacecars.com check this site out too, they maybe able to help. seems slp made replica pace cars.

Does that mean the transmission is not working?

A NASCAR fan Dream Car - This street legal car has power mostdream of. It's definitely a muscle car. Press the button, hold ontight and fly. Driving sensibly without that engaged, gas mileagehas consistently been 26 mpg combination city/country driving. Therewere only 2000 Grand Prix GTP made. All 2000 cars went around theDaytona track at least once. This car was designed more like a racecar with the V8 3800 Supercharged engine. I have the paperwork onthe repairs on this vehicle since my ownership. At the time I hadthe transmission repaired, I had not planned to sell the car. That'swhy I went ahead and had the Supercharged transmission rebuiltinstead of replacing with a cheaper more common transmission.Transmission repair cost alone $3162.00 and you can verify repairs. Iwanted to keep the vehicle as near to specs as I could. Over$4000.00 worth of work has been done on this car within this lastyear or so. In addition to the transmission, some items include: newspark plugs and wires, upper and lower radiator hoses changed, thermostat changed, serpentine and supercharger belts changed, newbattery, front wheel bearings changed. This is NOT a regular GrandPrix. Besides the decals as you can see, the leather seats haveDaytona 500 embroidered on them. The car tells you how many milesyou are getting and many, many other things. Heads up displays yourspeed on the windshield. Several of the bells & whistles on thiscar weren't available or readily available until year/s later. Alsoretractable sun roof, no known leaks. Floor mats have NASCAR on them, but I'm not sure if they are the original mats. Clean title.
